June 30, 2022

(Robbery): 1500 block of West El Camino at 1158 hours.
Officers responded to a business regarding a robbery and determined the store was robbed at gunpoint. A thorough canvas was completed and detectives from our Neighborhood Crimes Unit were contacted to conduct follow up investigation.

(Vehicle Pursuit): Acacia Ridge and Del Paso Road at 1336 hours.
Officers responded to the area due to a report of a female that was being held against her will inside a vehicle. Responding officers located the vehicle and a female jumped out, then ran to the officers for help. The male fled in the car and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The law enforcement helicopter assisted with the pursuit. The driver eventually went to the 900 block of Eleanor and fled on foot, from the vehicle. Officers set up a perimeter and were unable to locate the suspect.

June 28, 2022

(Burglary): 3600 block of Tice Creek Way at 0717 hours.
A resident reported a burglary at a residence on this block. Responding officers determined that approximately $30,000 to $40,000 of personal property was stolen. Officers conducted a canvas to look for potential evidence and our Neighborhood Crimes Unit has taken over this investigation.

(Firearm Arrest): 2600 block of Stonecreek Drive at 1632 hours.
Gang Officers made a traffic stop at this location for a vehicle code violation. One occupant was on probation and the other was on parole. During a probation/parole search of the vehicle, officers located approximately 1.6 pounds of cocaine and a loaded handgun (see photo). The occupants were arrested for related charges.

(Vehicle Pursuit) Wisconsin Avenue and Natomas Street at 1645 hours.
Personnel from the Sacramento Fire Department reported a possible drunk driver at this location. Responding officers attempted to make a traffic stop. The driver failed to yield and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The driver eventually pulled over. He refused to exit. After negotiating with the driver, officers were able to extract him without using force. He was safely detained and arrested.

(Foot Pursuit): 1400 block of Brewerton Drive at 2402 hours.
A female called to advise her ex-husband with two felony warrants was in the area. Responding officers arrived and the suspect fled on foot. A perimeter was established, and officers were unable to locate the suspect.

(Firearm and Domestic Violence Arrest): 4200 block of El Centro Road at 2151 hours.
Officers responded to a domestic violence incident. Responding officers detained the male and located a firearm (see photo) inside the residence. The male was arrested for domestic violence and weapons charges.

June 26, 2022

(Felony Warrant Arrest): 2300 block of Northgate Boulevard at 2133 hours.
Officers responded to a business regarding a subject breaking into vehicles. Responding officers contacted the subject and safely detained him. They determined the subject did not break into any cars; however, he was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.

(Firearm Arrest): Truxel and Interstate 80 at 2354 hours.
Patrol officers observed a driver traveling at over 100 mph. The officers attempted a traffic stop and the driver fled. A vehicle pursuit was initiated. Due to the driver fleeing at speeds over 100 mph, for the safety of the community, officers discontinued the pursuit. A law enforcement helicopter observed the vehicle parked and the occupants were safely detained. The passenger was in possession of a stolen handgun (see photo). As a result, the driver was arrested for felony evading and the passenger was arrested for firearm related charges.

June 24, 2022

(Robbery): 3200 block of Truxel Road at 1015 hours.
Officers responded to a business in the area due to a robbery alarm. The company advised that an employee took items from the store and when confronted, pushed past employees and fled the scene.

22-176231 (Shooting – Investigation): 700 Block of San Juan Rd at 1636 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting. Evidence of a shooting was located however no injuries were reported. Officers canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses. A crime report was generated.

June 23, 2022

(Grand Theft Arrest): 3600 block of North Freeway Boulevard at 1830 hours.
Officers responded regarding two subjects stealing from a business. The two subjects were detained, and officers conducted follow up investigation. The officers determined the subjects were responsible for stealing from this business and other businesses, with a total of $6,000 in merchandise stolen. The subjects were arrested for the theft.

June 21, 2022

(Stabbing): 2800 block of Gateway Oaks at 1410 hours.
A female was stabbed and sustained significant injuries. After conducting a thorough canvas of the area, officers arrested a female who was responsible for the stabbing. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for her injuries.

June 20, 2022

(Felony Assault): Northgate Boulevard / Riverdale 701 hours.
A person experiencing homelessness had a disturbance with another person experiencing homelessness. During the disturbance, one subject hit the other subject with a baseball bat. The victim had a laceration and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Responding officers identified the suspect and checked the area for him. He was not located, and a crime report was taken. The suspect in this case is wanted for a felony assault.

22-172126 (Vehicle Pursuit – Arrest): Mill Oak Way / Pebblewood Dr at 1742 hours.
Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle and attempted to conduct an enforcement stop. The vehicle fled and led officers on a pursuit. The suspect vehicle eventually collided with an uninvolved vehicle, and the driver attempted to flee on foot. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect who was arrested for stolen vehicle and pursuit charges.

June 19, 2022

(Felony Assault – Arrest): 2100 block of Mabry Dr at 1300 hours.
Shortly after 1 p.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Mabry Drive regarding a report of an assault. The suspect assaulted the victim with a knife, resulting in serious injuries to the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was last reported to be in stable condition. Officers detained the suspect at the scene and the suspect was arrested for felony assault charges. The suspect and victim were known to each other and this is believed to be an isolated incident.

22-171298 (Assault – Investigation): 2400 Block of Northgate Blvd at 2046 hours.
Officers responded to a report of an assault. The suspect pointed a firearm at the victim, and then the suspect fled the area. A crime report was generated.

June 18, 2022

22-169802 (Felony Assault – Arrest): 3800 Block of Northgate Blvd at 0901 hours.
Officers responded to a report of an assault. While standing outside of a business, a subject was attacked by a person experiencing homelessness. The suspect hit the victim several times in the face with a plastic sign. Responding officers located the suspect while he was walking in the area. He was safely detained and arrested for felony assault.

June 17, 2022

(Firearm Arrest): 1500 block of West El Camino Avenue at 2047 hours.
Gang Officers made a traffic stop due to a vehicle code violation. The driver was in possession of a loaded firearm and one pound of weed. He was safely detained and arrested on related charges.

June 14, 2022

(Vehicle Pursuit): 4500 block of Gateway Park Boulevard at 0654 hours.
Officers responded to this area due to a report of a motorcycle theft in progress. As officers arrived, the suspect fled and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. For the safety of the community, the pursuit was cancelled due to the driver traveling recklessly.

June 12, 2022

(Firearm Arrest): San Joan Road and Northgate Boulevard at 2324 hours.
Patrol Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling recklessly. The driver was under the influence and in possession of a loaded handgun (see photo). The driver, a convicted felon, was arrested for firearm charges and DUI.

(Armed Robbery): 2800 block of Northgate Boulevard at 2137 hours.
Officers responded to an armed robbery of a Hot Dog Stand at this location. The suspect fled the scene after the robbery. Officers completed a thorough canvas and looked for the suspects. This investigation is ongoing.

June 10, 2022

(Firearm Arrest): Normington and West El Camino Avenue at 1942 hours.
Gang Officers attempted to make a traffic stop and the driver fled. A vehicle pursuit was initiated. The driver of the fleeing vehicle collided into a parked vehicle. The occupants were safely detained and in possession of two loaded firearms. Both subjects were arrested for multiple firearm related charges.

June 9, 2022

(Fatal Vehicle Collision): Arden Garden Connecter and Arden Garden at 2101 hours.
A pedestrian was crossing the street and was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. Due to the seriousness of the injuries, detectives from our Major Collision Investigation Unit responded to take over the investigation. The driver was cooperative. Officers later learned that the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries.

June 8, 2022

(Burglary Attempt): 1700 block of Teralba Way 0046 hours.
A resident called to report that a subject was attempting to break inside their house. After waking up and checking the window, the victim discovered that the subject fled. The window was manipulated during the attempted burglary. Officers conducted a thorough canvas in the neighborhood and the investigation is ongoing.

June 7, 2022

(Shooting Investigation): 600 block of Garden Highway 2301 hours.
Multiple callers reported hearing numerous gunshots in the area with vehicles speeding away. Responding officers located significant evidence that confirmed a shooting occurred. There were no reported injuries. Officers conducted a thorough canvas of the area. This shooting investigation is ongoing.

June 6, 2022

(Vehicle Pursuit and Assault on an Officer): West El Camino and Truxel at 2202 hours.
There was a domestic violence disturbance that occurred. This incident began around 10 p.m. last night in North Sacramento when units responded to a report of a suspect threatening family members and possibly in possession of a firearm. The male suspect reportedly threatened the female and was armed with a firearm. Responding officers located the described suspect near his relative’s home, and he fled, leading officers on a vehicle pursuit. The male suspect traveled through the Police Observation Device (POD) at West El Camino and Truxel. At one point during the pursuit, the suspect turned his vehicle toward officers and struck an occupied patrol vehicle as he continued to flee. The officer was not injured. The driver continued to flee from officers and ultimately barricaded himself inside a residence in South Sacramento. Eventually, the suspect fled into a residence on the 5300 block of Jacinto Avenue where he was confirmed to be armed. A large perimeter was established and Crisis Negotiators made contact with the subject and worked for a peaceful resolution. Due to the length of the incident, the Elk Grove Police Department relieved SacPD officers at about 11 a.m. and assumed command of the incident. Due to the suspect being armed, our SWAT Team was called out to take over the tactical portion of this incident. Ultimately, after a lengthy perimeter and tactical plan, the suspect surrendered and was arrested. The suspect was in possession of two firearms, pictured.

(Assist Outside Agency): 5201 Kenmar Road at 1940 hours.
A vehicle was reported stolen in connection with a home invasion in Carmichael, near the border of Citrus Heights. At about 7:05 p.m. Citrus Heights PD officers spotted the vehicle near San Juan and Madison and attempted to stop the vehicle. The suspect failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated which traveled through Citrus Heights, Roseville and westbound Interstate 80. During the pursuit officers tried to use spike strips and the suspect to rammed and collided with with several law enforcement vehicles. The suspect eventually stopped driving at Kenmar Way, but refused to exit the vehicle. According to a Citrus Heights PD spokesperson, the suspect kept telling officers to shoot him. The officers fired a bean bag round, breaking a window, followed by a gas canister. The suspect then exited the vehicle and was arrested without further incident. A male, 36, was taken into custody by the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department on charges including suspicion of felony evasion and attempted assault with a deadly weapon for ramming cars during the pursuit. SacPD officers assisted with having stop sticks readily available.

22-156989 (Burglary – Investigation): 3900 Block of Duckhorn Dr at 0631 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a burglary. The suspect(s) entered a construction site and stole multiple items. Officers canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses. A crime report was generated.

June 5, 2022

(Suspicious Death Investigation): 4100 block of Pell Drive at 1249 hours.
Officers responded to the area due to a report of a deceased subject. Officers confirmed the subject was deceased and they conducted an initial canvas of the area. Based on the information received, detectives responded to take over the investigation. The deceased subject was a male adult. At this point, this investigation remains active.

(Robbery of a Business): 3900 block of Truxel Road at 1143 hours.
Several subjects went inside a business and stole merchandise. The clerk inside the business locked the door and one of the subjects pushed the clerk down, then fled the business. Responding officers located one of the subjects and the primary subject was not located. This continues to be an active investigation.

22-155887 (Traffic Stop – Gun Arrest): Truxel Rd / Saginaw Cir at 2246 hours.
An officer conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle. During the investigation, a firearm was located. The driver was arrested for weapons violations.

22-154692 (Death Investigation): 2900 Block of Camarillo Dr at 1731 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a subject who was deceased in a residence. No suspicious circumstances were observed. Officers conducted a death investigation and a coroner responded to take over the investigation.

(Brandishing of a Firearm): Northgate Boulevard and San Juan Road at 0719 hours.
A driver who was traveling recklessly brandished a firearm at another driver. The armed driver fled the area after the brandishing. Officers responded, took the initial report and are conducting follow-up investigation.

June 2, 2022

(Manufacturing Firearms): 400 block of Natalino Circle at 0600 hours.
Our North Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Team has been conducting an investigation related to a subject who is responsible for manufacturing firearms. The North POP Team, along with SWAT, served a search warrant at a residence that resulted in the seizure of multiple parts to manufacture firearms, 100 oxycodone pills, several dozen Ecstasy pills and a significant amount of marijuana to indicate marijuana sales (see photo). One subject in the residence had a felony warrant for a firearm case. Two subjects were arrested and this investigation is ongoing.

“I am extremely proud of our Problem Oriented Policing Team for their extraordinary work on this case. Their investigation resulted in two significant arrests and the seizure of weapons that were being illegally manufactured,” said police Captain Vance Chandler. “This case illustrates our commitment to prevent gun violence in our community.”

(Grand Theft Arrest): 3500 block of North Freeway Boulevard at 1009 hours.
An employee at a business reported several females stealing perfume bottles at their store. The day before, these same females committed similar theft crimes at a business on Arden Way. The officers did follow-up investigation and ultimately arrested three females for grand theft. Detectives from our Neighborhood Crimes Unit responded and took over this investigation, while working with other regional law enforcement partners. These females are responsible for multiple similar crimes in the region.

May 31, 2022

(Vehicle Collision and DUI): Garden Highway and Northview 0139 hours.
A driver left the roadway and traveled down the embankment. Fire personnel responded and extracted the driver. She was intoxicated and arrested for DUI.

May 30, 2022

(Vehicle Pursuit): Northgate and Haggin Avenue at 0020 hours.
Officers responded to the area due to a report of vehicle traveling recklessly. Responding officers observed a vehicle doing donuts in the intersection. The vehicle immediately fled as officers arrived and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The driver of the vehicle collided into a rock near Northgate and Highway 160. The occupants fled on foot. A passenger turned himself in and was arrested for resisting arrest.

(Shooting Investigation): 600 block of Garden Highway at 0145 hours.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired at this location. Officers located significant evidence of a shooting. A thorough canvas was completed and there were no reported injuries.

(Stolen Vehicle and Possession of Firearm Arrest): 100 block of Silver Eagle Road 0858 hours.
A caller reported that their stolen vehicle was at this residence. Officers arrived and confirmed the vehicle was stolen. During a probation search at the residence, officers located a rifle. The male subject, who is on probation, was arrested for the stolen vehicle and firearm related charges.

22-149667 (Shooting Investigation): 3300 block of Winter Park Drive at 1815 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting. The suspect(s) fled the area prior to police arrival. Evidence of a shooting was located at the scene however no injuries were reported. Officers canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses. A crime report was generated and the investigation remains active.

(Felony DUI Arrest and Collision): Innovator Drive near Arena Boulevard at 2101 hours.
A driver was involved in a collision, then fled on foot. Responding officers located the driver and safely detained him. He sustained moderate injuries from the collision and the other involved driver sustained minor injuries. The driver was initially treated for his injuries, then arrested.

(Foot Pursuit and Resisting Arrest): 2400 block of Northgate Boulevard at 2150 hours.
Officers responded to a business in the area due to a report of a subject walking around with a firearm visible in his waistband. Responding officers made contact with the subject and he fled on foot. As he was fleeing, he grabbed his waistband and fled into yards. A perimeter was established, and officers utilized technology (a drone) in an attempt to locate the subject. He was hiding in a nearby residence. He peacefully surrendered and force was not used. Officers conducted a thorough search for a firearm and did not find one. The subject was arrested for resisting arrest.

22-149015 (Gun Arrest): W El Camino Ave / Fairweather Dr at 2342 hours.
A patrol officer made a traffic stop for a vehicle violation. The driver was in possession of a loaded firearm. The driver was safely detained. The firearm was registered to the driver and he was cited.

22-147085 (Gun Arrest): West El Camino Ave / Northglen St at 0022 hours.
Patrol officers made a traffic stop for vehicle code violations. The driver was in possession of a firearm and cocaine (see photo). He was safely detained and arrested.

(Robbery – Arrest): 2400 block of Northgate Boulevard at 0722 hours.
A subject entered a gas station and stole a pair of sunglasses. As he exited the store, an employee approached him. The subject threatened to assault the employee. Responding officers located this subject and he was safely detained, then arrested for robbery.

(Felony Assault – Arrest): 2800 block of Gateway Oaks Drive at 1649 hours.
There was a disturbance between a male and female. During the disturbance, while driving a truck, the female attempted to hit the male. He got out of the way to avoid being hit. Then, the female approached the male on foot and used a racial slur. The male defended himself by spraying pepper spray at the female. The female then used a horse whip to hit the male. The female suspect was arrested.

22-146944 (Gun Arrest): American Ave / W El Camino Ave at 2130 hours.
Officers conducted a vehicle stop. During the contact, officers located an illegally possessed firearm. The suspect was arrested for related charges.

(Sexual Assault – Arrest): 3900 block of Rosin Court at 0859 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault. Officers determined the female victim was sexually assaulted by a male subject who she knows. There was significant evidence that was located. Officers checked the nearby area for the suspect, and he was located. The suspect was arrested for sexual assault and detectives continue to conduct follow up investigation.

May 23, 2022

(Robbery): 4400 block of El Centro Road at 1830 hours.
Officers contacted a victim who was robbed in the area. The victim was robbed of personal property after attempting to meet up with someone to sell a personal piece of property. The suspect assaulted the victim, then fled the area. The victim sustained minor injuries.

22-142852 (Burglary – Investigation): 4700 Block of Natomas Blvd at 0254 hours.
Officers responded to an alarm activation at a business. Evidence of a burglary was observed at the scene. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect(s). A crime report was generated.

22-143066 (Felony Assault – Arrest): 1500 Block of W El Camino Ave at 1026 hours.
Multiple callers reported a male subject swinging a metal pole or stick at people, windows, and cars. Responding officers located a broken metal pole that was discarded and two victims that had their windows broken out. Officers also located a business with a broken window. The suspect was located, safely detained, and arrested.

May 22, 2022

22-142673 (Vehicle Collision – DUI Arrest): Advantage Ct at 2137 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a collision in which a vehicle struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle was found to be driving under the influence and was arrested.

(Burglary of a Business): 4700 block of Natomas Boulevard at 0254 hours.
Officers responded to a business due to a report of a burglary. Officers determined the business was burglarized and the suspect(s) broke the glass of a jewelry display case. The officers conducted extensive follow-up investigation and identified one suspect. Detectives from our Neighborhood Crimes Unit have taken over this investigation. On Friday afternoon, the primary suspect was located and arrested.

(Carjacking – Arrest): Northgate and San Juan at 0107 hours.
Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle that traveled through a Police Observation Device. This vehicle was reported as stolen. The driver was safely detained. Officers learned that this vehicle was stolen during a carjacking. The driver was arrested for carjacking and possession of amphetamines.

May 19, 2022

(Shooting Investigation): 4600 block of Windsong Street at 0302 hours.
Officers responded to the area due to a report of a shooting. There were no reports of any injuries. Officers completed a thorough canvas of the area and did locate evidence of a shooting. This investigation is ongoing.

(Felony Assault): 4100 block of Northgate Boulevard at 0359 hours.
A male subject (victim) was hit with a metal pipe by a person known to him. The victim attempted to fight back, and a separate subject sprayed the victim with pepper spray. The victim sustained moderate injuries. Officers looked for both suspects and did not locate them. A felony assault report was taken.

May 18, 2022

(Casualty Report): Interstate 80 and Northgate at 0818 hours.
A male adult jumped off the overpass at this location. He was transported to the hospital and died due to the injuries he sustained from the jump.

May 16, 2022

22-136495 (Gun Arrest): 1500 Block of West El Camino Ave at 2252 hours.
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop. During the contact, an illegally possessed handgun was located. The driver was cited and released for related misdemeanor charges.

(Vehicle Pursuit): Del Paso Road and Northgate Boulevard at 828 hours.
A patrol officer located a stolen vehicle in the area. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver failed to stop. A vehicle pursuit was initiated. The driver traveled recklessly and for the safety of the community, the pursuit was canceled. Shortly after the pursuit, the vehicle was located near Clay and Alamos Avenue. The vehicle was unoccupied. Officers checked the area, and the driver was not located.

22-131609 (Traffic Stop – Gun Arrest): 1500 Block of W El Camino Ave at 2107 hours.
Officers conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle. During the investigation, a firearm was located. The driver was arrested for weapons violations.

22-130121 (Assault – Arrest): 400 Block of Summer Garden Way at 1156 hours.
Officers responded to a report of an assault. The suspect threatened the victim and attempted to assault the victim with a knife. Officers contacted the suspect at the scene and the suspect was arrested.

(Firearm Arrest): Truxel and Newborough at 1722 hours.
North Gang Officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation. A loaded handgun (see photo) was located in the vehicle and a citation was issued.

22-130449 (Weapons Disturbance – Gun Arrest): 2500 Block of Seamist Dr at 1740 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a subject who was armed with a firearm. Officers safely detained the described subject who was found to be in possession of a firearm and narcotics. The subject, who is a convicted felon, was arrested for the firearm and narcotics violations.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area. No injuries were reported. Officers contacted one subject and located a firearm during the investigation. The subject was arrested for weapons violations.

22-128707 (Shooting – Investigation): Del Paso Rd / Natomas Blvd at 1901 hours.
Multiple people reported a shooting in the area. Officers located evidence of a shooting and completed a thorough canvas of the area. There were no reported injuries. Officers determined multiple vehicles were involved. Later in the evening, one vehicle was located, and it was unoccupied. The vehicle was evidence impounded. This investigation remains active.

22-128810 (Carjacking – Arrest): 2600 Block of Millcreek Dr at 2111 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The suspect, who was armed with a handgun, stole the victim’s vehicle, and then fled the area in the vehicle. Officers later located the vehicle, and the suspect was safely detained. During the investigation, a firearm was located. The suspect was arrested for carjacking and weapons violations.

22-126233 (Traffic Stop – Gun Arrest): W Silver Eagle Rd / Northgate Blvd at 0905 hours.
Officers received information that there was a subject in the area armed with a firearm. Upon contact, the officers determined the subject was in possession of a handgun (see photo) and he is a prohibited person. The subject was arrested for several felony firearm charges.

22-126347 (Stolen Vehicle – Arrest): Truxel Rd / W El Camino Ave at 1105 hours.
An officer conducted an enforcement stop on a motorcycle. During the investigation, the motorcycle was found to be stolen. The motorcyclist was arrested for stolen vehicle charges.

22-126976 (Traffic Stop – Gun Arrest): Garden Hwy / Natomas Park Dr at 2219 hours.
Officers conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle. Upon stopping, a passenger from the vehicle fled on foot but was apprehended by officers. The passenger was found to be in possession of a firearm and was arrested for weapons violations.

22-126846 (Robbery – Investigation): 2200 Block of Tanzanite Ave at 1928 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The suspects, who were armed with a firearm, stole the victim’s property and then fled the area. Officers searched the area but were not able to locate the suspects. A crime report was generated.

(Vehicle Pursuit and Arrest): Northgate Boulevard and West El Camino Avenue at 1955 hours.
North Gang Officers conducted a traffic stop due to vehicle code violations. The driver failed to yield, and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The driver collided into another vehicle and continued to flee. During the vehicle pursuit, after making a U-turn, the driver attempted to fleet on foot and was safely detained. He was in possession of multiple pounds of marijuana and illegal narcotics. He was arrested for multiple charges, including evading, narcotics, and parole violation.

Officers responded to a report of an armed individual experiencing an apparent mental health crisis in a business. Officers successfully de-escalated the incident and safely transported the individual to an area hospital for treatment.

22-123617 (Stolen Vehicle Arrest): W El Camino Ave / Truxel Rd at 1921 hours.
Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle and safely arrested the driver for related charges.

22-123745 (DUI Arrest): 2000 Block of W El Camino Ave at 2231 hours.
Officers responded to a single vehicle collision into a house. Upon arrival, first responders found a vehicle had crashed through a carpot and into a corner apartment. One person, who was inside the residence, sustained a minor injury and self transported to a local hospital. The driver was found to be DUI and was arrested for related charges.

22-121588 (Shooting Investigation): 2300 Block of Northgate Blvd at 1817 hours.
Officers responded to the area due to a report of a shooting. This shooting happened during a large festival in the area. One person was shot and sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Shortly after the shooting, a vehicle collided into another vehicle and the occupants fled on foot. Officers seized this vehicle to be evidence impounded, due to it potentially being tied to this shooting. Officers conducted follow up and this investigation is ongoing.

(Fatal Vehicle Collision): Garden Highway and Orchard Lane at 2113 hours.
Officers responded to this area due to a report of a vehicle collision. As officers arrived, fire personnel had pronounced the driver of the involved vehicle deceased. Due to the loss of life, our Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) responded to take over the investigation. The male adult driver was the only person involved in this collision and our MCIU determined alcohol was a factor.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The suspects entered a residence, stole property, and then fled the area. A crime report was generated.

22-114279 (Assault – Arrest): 3600 Block of N Freeway Blvd at 0754 hours.
Officers responded to a parking lot in this area due to a report of a subject breaking into a vehicle and holding a knife to a subject’s throat. Officers made contact with the victim who sustained minor injuries. After searching the area, officers located the suspect, and he was safely detained. The suspect was in possession of a knife. Officers recognized this subject as matching the descriptions of a subject responsible for a robbery that occurred in the area, the day before this incident. Officers located evidence on the suspect, including personal property from the victim of the robbery. After extensive follow up investigation, officers connected this suspect to the robbery and arrested him for the first incident, along with the robbery.

Officers responded to a report of a subject who was armed with multiple guns. Officers safely detained the subject who was found to be in possession of two firearms. Officers conducted follow-up and located five more firearms in the subject’s possession. The subject was arrested for weapons violations.

Officers responded to a robbery of a person at this location. The suspect was armed with a knife and robbed the victim of personal property. The suspect left the area and officers conducted follow up investigation. The victim was not injured during this robbery.

Officers responded to a report of robbery. The suspect stole merchandise from a business and threatened the victim when confronted. Officers located the suspect at the scene and the suspect was arrested for robbery.

(Carjacking and Gun Arrest): Millcreek Drive and West El Camino at 1433 hours.
Officers located a vehicle that was carjacked. The driver was safely detained and a 9mm handgun was located inside the car. The driver was recognized as a subject related to a shooting/robbery. Detectives responded to conduct follow up investigation on the shooting/robbery. The driver was arrested on a variety of charges.

Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and located an illegally possessed handgun. One suspect was arrested for related charges.

(Multiple Gun Arrest): Jefferson and Northgate Boulevard at 1741 hours.
Several of our Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Officers made a traffic stop near Jefferson and Northgate Boulevard. During a probation search of the vehicle, two handguns (see photo) were located, including on that is fully automatic. This resulted in two arrests for felony gun and narcotic charges.

(Attempted Burglaries): Truxel Road shortly after midnight.
Officers responded to two separate attempted robberies at businesses on Truxel Road. One incident occurred in the 3200 block of Truxel Road and the other in the 3900 block of Truxel Road. During each incident, the suspect acted as if he had a firearm. Fortunately, nobody was hurt during these attempted robberies. Officers completed a thorough canvas for evidence, videos, witnesses, etc. Our detectives have taken over these cases, including all follow up investigation.

A male observed two subjects breaking into his car. He confronted the two subjects who fled on foot. While chasing them, one subject fired a gun at the vehicle owner. Fortunately, the bullet only struck the vehicle owner in the foot. Officers located significant evidence and they are conducting follow up investigation.

22-100006 (Shooting – Investigation): 300 Block of Senator Ave at 0715 hours.
Officers responded to the area due to a report of a shooting. Officers learned that the shooting happened due to a road rage incident. The driver of one involved vehicle shot at the other involved vehicle that was occupied with three people, including a small child. Fortunately, nobody was injured. Officers are conducting extensive follow up investigation to identify and locate the shooter.

22-100664 (Disturbance – Gun Arrest): 2300 Block of River Plaza Dr at 2025 hours.
Officers responded to the area due to a 911 call of a domestic violence incident. Officers determined the involved male fired off a gun. Fortunately, nobody was injured. Officers located the subject and he was safely detained and arrested. Officers also recovered a firearm within close proximity of the subject.

April 3, 2022

(Assault – Arrest): Baines Avenue.
Around 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Northgate Blvd for a report of an assault. The suspect assaulted the victim and stole the victim’s personal property after they were involved in a disturbance in the roadway. The victim sustained minor injuries. While fleeing, the suspect vehicle collided with multiple vehicles in the area. Officers later located the suspect in the area of Baines Ave after receiving reports of a vehicle driving recklessly in the area. The suspect, a 36-year-old man, was arrested for assault and robbery charges related to the incident.

A firearm was recovered and the was arrested for charges related to the shooting.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary at a business. The suspect stole property and then fled the area. Officers later located the suspect who was arrested for burglary.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary. The suspect was observed entering an unoccupied residence. Officers established a perimeter, and the residence was searched with assistance from a police K9. During the search, the suspect was apprehended with assistance from the K9 and was arrested for burglary.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary. The suspect was observed inside an unoccupied residence. The suspect left prior to police arrival however responding officers were able to identify the suspect, who was later arrested for burglary.

City of Sacramento Animal Control was alerted to an incident involving animal cruelty. A male suspect was seen on camera with two dogs, kicking and repeatedly punching one of the dogs until his hand was bloody. This incident occurred in North Sacramento on Pell Drive. The suspect was arrested and the four dogs at the suspect’s residence moved to the Front Street Animal Shelter following an investigation by the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office and Front Street Animal Control officers, both members of the Sacramento County Animal Cruelty Task Force and Crime Stoppers tip.

22-003819 (Fatal Collision): 1000 Block of Garden Hwy at 2243 hours.
Officers responded to the 1000 block of Garden Highway regarding a pedestrian down in the roadway. Responding officers located the pedestrian, an adult female, who had sustained major injuries from an apparent vehicle collision. Sacramento Fire Department Personnel pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. The cause of the collision remains under investigation and there is no suspect information to provide at this time.
