Jibe Express shuttle service from North Natomas to downtown Sacramento has been suspended until further notice, it was announced April 1.

Service had been scaled back at the beginning of the week after the shuttle services experienced a 90% drop in ridership since the March 18 statewide shelter-in-place directive was issued, according to Mellissa Meng, manager of Jibe’s bike and bus programs.

Jibe Express shuttle service will be suspended as of the evening of April 2. Typically, Jibe Express runs peak-period routes between North Natomas and downtown Sacramento each weekday morning and afternoon.

Added Meng, “Community members are still being served by the two SacRT bus routes that serve North Natomas.”

Sacramento Regional Transit continues to operate two bus lines which serve the North Natomas area on a  Sunday Plus schedule. These include SacRT Route 11 between North Natomas and Land Park, SacRT Route 13 between Natomas and Arden, and SacRT Route 113 will continue to operate Monday-Friday.

North Natomas Jibe is a nonprofit organization funded through rider fares, community facilities district fees and grants. Jibe plans to resume shuttle operations when it is safe to do so.
