Natomas Cops Log – Sept. 14, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 13, 2015:

15-264874 (Weapons Disturbance): 1600 block of Scarlet Ash Ave at 0017 hours.
Officers responded to the location regarding a report of a weapons disturbance. The complainant advised that an unknown man had brandished a gun at him and fled in a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers quickly spotted the vehicle, began to follow it, and a pursuit ensued. The suspect continued to flee in the car and the officers discontinued the pursuit. A report was generated and follow-up will be conducted.

Incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 12, 2015:

15-264391 (Vehicle Accident): San Juan Rd / Airport Rd at 1633 hours.
Officers responded to the location regarding a report of a single vehicle that had crashed in the area. The driver was treated at an area hospital and a warrant was requested due to a suspicion of DUI.


15-264739 (Domestic Violence): 4100 block of Innovator Dr at 2209 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of domestic violence. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim and determined that she had been assaulted by her husband who was still on scene. Officers attempted to contact the suspect inside of the apartment, but he refused to comply. Upon entering the location, the suspect was found with serious, but non-life threatening self-inflicted injuries. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment and placed into custody for domestic violence.

Incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 11, 2015:

15-263340 (Vehicle Accident): Rio Tierra Ave / Northgate Blvd at 1615 hours.
Officers responded to a head-on collision at the above location during rush hour traffic. Traffic in the area was impacted and three occupants were transported to the hospital for complaint-of-pain injuries.


15-263510 (Pursuit): Del Paso Rd / Gateway Park Blvd at 1837 hours.

Officers came upon an ongoing domestic violence incident involving two vehicles stopped on the roadway at a traffic signal. The male suspect in the case sped off in his vehicle a high rate of speed and the officer gave chase in his marked patrol vehicle. The pursuit was cancelled and an outside agency helicopter arrived and followed the car until it stopped near W. El Camino. The man was arrested and eventually booked for felony evasion, a misdemeanor warrant, and violation of probation.


15-263598 (Vehicle Accident): 2600 block of Northview Dr at 2007 hours.
Officers responded to a hit-and-run vehicle accident. One disoriented passenger was found on scene and the driver fled the area on foot. The vehicle was believed to be driving recklessly in the area before striking a tree.


15-263599 (Robbery): 3300 block of Fong Ranch Rd at 2008 hours.
An officer was hailed regarding a robbery in the area. The juvenile victim was walking in the area when a passenger of a passing vehicle robbed him at gunpoint. The suspect took his phone and fled in the vehicle.


15-263771 (Reckless Drivers): Callison Dr / Bayou Rd at 2310 hours.
SPD along with two outside agencies, coordinated a response to reckless drivers in the area. Multiple cars were contacted leaving the area and citations were issued.

Incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 10, 2015:

15-261673 (Burglary): 1900 block of Kane Ave at 0403 hours.
Officers responded to the call of a burglary. The victim was inside the residence when an unknown suspect entered the home through a window. The suspect fled prior to officers arriving on scene. A report was generated.


15-261952 (Robbery): 3100 block of Northgate Blvd at 1114 hours.
Officers responded to the call of a robbery in progress. The victim was inside the business when two suspects entered armed with a handgun. The suspects fled on foot without any merchandise. Officers arrived on scene and checked the area for the suspects. The investigation remains active.


15-262413 (Suspicious Subjects): 2200 block of Arena Blvd at 1838 hours.
Officers resounded to a report of three female subjects going door-to-door claiming to be from a utility company. Due to the recent burglary ruse that has been occurring, officers responded and contacted the subjects. All three were identified and nothing criminal or immediately suspicious was noted.

Incidents are from shifts starting Sept. 8, 2015:

15-259878 (Attempted Robbery): 3600 block of Truxel Rd at 1336 hours.
Officers responded to the call of an attempted robbery. The victims met the suspects in the parking lot for the sale of property. Upon contact, the unknown suspects displayed a BB gun, demanded the victim’s property, but they refused and were able to flee the area. No injuries were reported. A report was generated.
