Officers responded to the report of a shooting. Upon arrival no victims were located. Officers canvassed the area and located casings. A shooting victim self-transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers interviewed the victim and a crime report was generated.

20-377638 (Gun-arrest): W El Camino Ave / Fairweather Dr at 1718 hours.
Officers made an enforcement stop on a vehicle. During their investigation officers located a firearm and the suspect was arrested.

20-376790 (Warrant-arrest): Northgate Blvd / HWY 160 at 2018 hours.
Officers contacted a subject. The subject attempted to flee from offices but was quickly apprehended. The suspect was arrested for warrant charges.

20-376801 (Gun-arrest): 1600 block of W El Camino ave at 2034 hours.
Officers contacted a suspicious vehicle. During their investigation officers located a firearm. The suspect was arrested for firearm charges.

20-376853 (Pursuit-arrest): Northgate Blvd / Haggin Ave at 2202 hours.
Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle that led officers in a pursuit. The vehicle came to a stop and the driver fled on foot. The suspect was quickly apprehended and arrested for theft and pursuit charges.

Officers attempted to make a traffic stop. The driver failed to yield and led officers on a pursuit. The driver eventually yielded.

Officers responded to a report of a subject who was shoplifting. Loss prevention officers attempted to stop the suspect, who threw an object at the loss prevention officer. The suspect fled and the loss prevention officer did not require medical attention.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation. Officers arrived to find spent shell casings but nothing appeared to be struck by the gunfire. Officers generated a report.

Officers responded to a collision involving a motorcycle. Officers arrived and found that the motorcycle driver suffered serious non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. A collision report was generated.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation. Officers located a casing in the area. No damge or victim were located. A crime report was generated.

Officers responded to the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officer located a male adult victim with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim did not have a description of the suspect. Officers canvassed the area, and a crime report was generated.

20-370063 (Firearms): Northfield Drive & Northview Drive at 1842 hours.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and located an illegal firearm in the vehicle. In the same area, they attempted to stop another vehicle when one of the occupants fled. An illegal firearm was located inside the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded to the report of a robbery. The suspect assaulted the victim, took items and fled. The victim sustained minor injuries. Officers canvassed the area, and a crime report was generated.

Officers responded to the reports of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with major injuries where medical staff pronounced the pedestrian deceased. Major Collision detectives took over the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

20-363746 (Threats- arrest): Northgate Blvd / San Juan Rd at 0255 hours.
Officers attempted to make an enforcement stop on a vehicle. A pursuit ensued until the vehicle came to a stop. The suspect was arrested for theft charges.

20-364207 (Pursuit-arrest): Silver Almond Ln / Silver Cedar Ln at 1521 hours.
Officers attempted to make an enforcement stop on a vehicle. A short pursuit ensued until the vehicle came to a stop. The suspect fled from the vehicle and was quickly apprehended by officers. The suspect was arrested for warrant and pursuit charges.

20-364464 (Gun-arrest): 2700 block of Northgate Blvd at 2027 hours.
Officers made an enforcement stop on a vehicle. During their investigation officers located a firearm inside the vehicle. The suspect was arrested for firearm charges.

20-363527 (Theft- arrest): Northgate Blvd / San Juan Rd at 1945 hours.
Officers responded to the report of a POD activation of a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and the driver fled on foot from the vehicle. The suspect was quickly apprehended and arrested for theft charges.

20-362145 (Robbery-investigation): 2900 block of Flora Springs Wy at 0000 hours.
Officers responded to the report of a robbery at gunpoint. The suspect demanded items and fled the scene. Officers canvassed the area and a crime report was generated.

20201213-109 (Officer Involved Shooting – investigation): 3200 block of Arena Blvd at 0634 hours.
A Sacramento Police Department patrol officer responded to the scene regarding a solo vehicle colliding into a building. As the officer was responding to the scene, multiple callers from inside of a grocery store reported that an adult man involved in the collision was armed with a knife and acting erratically inside.

When the officer arrived, they contacted the man inside the store who was still armed with a large knife. The officer requested emergency assistance and various outside agencies responded, including additional SPD officers. The Sacramento Police Department officer began to negotiate with the man to drop the knife as he was seen severely wounding himself. During the negotiations, which lasted more than 20 minutes, additional officers worked to safely evacuate the employees and customers from the store.

While officers continued to negotiate with the man, he charged towards them. Less lethal options were deployed, but the man continued to advance towards officers with the knife in his hand. One officer from the Sacramento Police Department and one officer from the California Highway Patrol discharged their handguns at the man, striking him.

Officers formed a contact team and rendered medical aid until Sacramento Fire Department personnel arrived on scene to take over. Despite these efforts, the man was declared dead at the scene.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Jordan Avery Zenka, 26, of Sacramento.

This incident is being investigated by the Sacramento Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Internal Affairs Division. The Office of Public Safety Accountability and the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office are providing oversight by monitoring the investigation.

This incident falls under the City Council’s policy on Police Use of Force as well as SB 1421. As a result, the video and audio associated with this incident will be released to the public within 30 days. Detectives are in the process of identifying and retrieving video associated with this incident.

Officers responded to the report of a burglary alarm. Upon arrival officers confirmed that a burglary had occurred. Officers canvassed the area and a crime report was generated.

20-361091 (Felony Assault – Investigation): Parejo Court at 2036 hours.
Officers responded to a disturbance involving two vehicles. The victim had the windows of his vehicle broken out and the suspect also used their vehicle to ram the victim’s vehicle. The suspect fled the area and the investigation is ongoing. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Officers responded to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival officers found that the victim was knocked to the ground and sustained minor injuries. The suspects took items from the victim and fled. A crime report was generated.

Officers responded to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival officers found that a burglary had occurred. Officers canvassed the area and a crime report was generated.

Officers responded to the reports of shots fired. Upon arrival a victim was located with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers located the suspect who was arrested for felony assault charges.

20-359269 (Burglary- arrest): 1900 block of Volti Wy at 2229 hours.
Officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival officers located the suspect. The suspect was arrested for burglary and restraining order charges.

Officers responded regarding an assault. Two victims sustained moderate injury after being assaulted by three suspects. Officers conducted a canvass and generated a crime report. The investigation is ongoing.

20-356135 (Pursuit- investigation): Advantage Ct at 1238 hours.
Officers responded to the report of an assault. Upon arrival officers located the vehicle involved. The vehicle led officers in a pursuit in which officers lost visual of the vehicle. A crime report was generated.

Officers responded to the report of a shooting. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury. The area was canvassed, and a crime report was generated.

Officers responded to the reports of shots fired. Upon arrival officers found a disturbance occurred where the suspect shot at the victim. The victim was not hit. Officers located the suspect who was arrested for felony assault and gun charges.

Officers responded to the reports of the solo motorcycle collision. Upon officers arrival they found a male adult victim who had sustained serious injuries from the collision. Fire personnel transported the male victim to a local hospital where medical staff pronounced him deceased. Major Collision detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

Officers responded to the report of a disturbance. The suspect intentionally hit a vehicle with somebody inside then fled the scene. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and detained the driver. The driver was arrested for assault charges.

Officers attempted a traffic stop when the vehicle fled. Officers eventually located the vehicle and occupants.

20-346033 (Pursuit – Arrest): 4000 block of Alan Shepard Street at 0853 hours.
Officers attempted to stop a known suspect, who was driving a vehicle, wanted for domestic violence and a parole violation. The suspect failed to yield and led officers on a vehicle pursuit to Elk Grove. CHP and the Elk Grove Police Department took over the pursuit. The suspect was taken into custody in the Elk Grove area. The suspect was also in possession of a firearm. The suspect was arrested.

20-346658 (Attempt Robbery – Investigation): 3000 block of Northgate Boulevard at 2222 hours.
Officers responded to an attempted robbery. The suspects threatened the victim and demanded personal property. The victim was able to fight off the suspects who fled on foot. Officers generated a crime report.

Officers responded to reports of a car burglary. The investigation is ongoing.

20-341744 (Foot Pursuit): 3300 block of Soda Way at 1120 hours.
SPD officers assisted probation officers after they engaged in a foot pursuit of a suspect. SPD assisted with a perimeter and the suspect was located and arrested.

20-342015 (Robbery – Investigation): 2500 block of New Market Drive at 1608 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a brandishing. A suspect brandished a firearm at the victim after taking a cell phone from the victim. The suspect fled with the cell phone. The investigation is ongoing.

20-342325 (Hit and Run Collision – Investigation): 1600 block of Teralba Way at 2221 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle vs bicycle collision. The vehicle fled the scene after striking the bicyclist. The bicyclist sustained minor injury and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution. The driver remains outstanding. Officers generated a hit and run collision report.

Officers responded to a disturbance. During their investigation officers found narcotic paraphernalia and stolen items. The suspect was arrested for theft charges.

Officers responded to a report of a felony assault. A male victim struck the victim with a glass bottle. The victim sustained a laceration from the assault but did not require medical treatment. Officers were unable to locate the suspect and generated a crime report.

20-334886 (Warrant – Arrest): 2300 block of Northgate Boulevard at 1958 hours.
A subject with a felony warrant fled from officers on foot. The suspect remained confrontational with officers stating that he refused to be arrested. The suspect was safely taken into custody with a less lethal bean bag system.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired. The suspect fired a handgun into the air and drove off. Officers located the suspect vehicle in the area. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled leading officers on a short vehicle pursuit. The suspect was arrested and was in possession of a firearm. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired. Officers located one vehicle that had been struck by gunfire, but there were no injuries. Officers generated a crime report.

20-331186 (Sideshow Activity): Rio Linda Boulevard and Eleanor Avenue at 2043 hours.
Officers responded to a report of sideshow activity in the area. Several vehicles were cited and towed for reckless driving.

Officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival officers located a vehicle leaving at a high rate of speed and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit ended when the vehicle was involved in a non-injury collision. The suspect was arrested for burglary charges.

Officers were conducting a follow-up investigation and located the suspect wanted for shooting into a building. Officers detained the subject and located a “ghost” firearm. The suspect was arrested.

Oct. 18, 2020
(Collision): West Elkhorn and East Levee at 0100 hours.
Two-vehicle head on collision occurred in the eastbound lane of Elkhorn, just west of the E. Levee. The female driver of the wrong way truck was transported to the hospital with major injuries and arrested for DUI. The other driver suffered minor injuries and was also transported to the hospital. The roadway was blocked for the investigation and to tow the vehicles.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary. The suspect gained entry by forcing open the front door and then fleeing. Officers generated a crime report.

20-308743 (Robbery – Investigation): 2700 block of Azevedo Drive at 1838 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The suspects forcibly took the victim’s cell phone. Officers canvassed the area and generated a crime report.

20-308968 (Shots Fired – Investigation): 3400 block of Winter Park Drive at 2213 hours.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired. The suspect discharged a firearm into the air and fled the in a vehicle. Nobody was injured from the incident. Officers generated a crime report.

20-307321 (Hit and Run Collision – Arrest): 2700 block of American Avenue at 1304 hours.
A community service officer was conducting an investigation into a hit and run collision. The suspect was found in the area and then assaulted the community service officer. Officers were able to detain the suspect who was arrested for the hit and run and assault. The community service officer sustained minor injury.

Officers responded to reports of a fight. During the fight the victim was hit with an object. Officers arrived on scene and detained the suspect. The victim had minor injuries. The suspect was arrested for felony assault charges.

20-301191 (Traffic stop): Azevedo Drive & Yarwood Way at 1805 hours.
Officers responded to reports of a hostile crowd at a DUI enforcement stop. The driver of the involved vehicle was cited.

20-300342 (Firearm- arrest): Northgate Boulevard & Ozark Circle at 2126 hours.
Officers conducted a traffic stop where it was determined the driver had two firearms. The driver was arrested.

20-299090 (Pursuit – Investigation): W. El Camino Blvd and I-5 at 1822 hours.
Officers attempted an enforcement stop on a vehicle. The driver failed to yield and led officers on a short vehicle pursuit to the area of W. El Camino and I-5 where the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers set up a perimeter to search for the suspect. The suspect was not located and the investigation to identify the driver remains ongoing.

20-299236 (Robbery – Investigation): 2200 block of Gateway Oaks Drive at 2130 hours.
Officers responded to a reported robbery. The suspects brandished a weapon and stole the victim’s purse. The victim was able to recover her purse and the victim was uninjured. Officers generated a crime report.

Oct. 7, 2020
20-297681 (Firearm- arrest): 4900 block of Lieto Wy at 1216 hours.
Officers served a search warrant on a residence in the 4900 block of Lieto Way. During the search warrant service officers located three firearms. Two suspects were arrested for various weapons related charges. Officers formed a perimeter and began calling the occupants of the residence out at approximately 2:30 p.m. The warrant service concluded at approximately 5: 10 p.m.

20-297796 (Firearm- investigation): Northfield Dr/ Northview Dr at 1411 hours.
Officers attempted to make an enforcement stop on a group of subjects and a foot pursuit ensued. During the foot pursuit one of the subjects threw a firearm. The firearm was recovered however the suspect that threw the firearm was not located. A crime report generated and is still under investigation.

20-298131 (Firearm- arrest): W El Camino Ave/ Truxel Rd at 1955 hours.
Officers made an enforcement stop on a vehicle. During their investigation officers located a firearm. The driver was arrested for firearm charges.

Officers detained a man who was reported to be in possession of a loaded firearm. The suspect was arrested.

20-292757 (Firearm – Arrest): West El Camino Avenue and Erin Drive at 1700 hours.
Officers contacted the occupants of a vehicle. Inside of the vehicle officers located four loaded firearms. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested on weapons related charges.

20-292858 (Shooting – Investigation): 100 block of Main Avenue at 1850 hours.
Officers responded to a reported shooting. The victim was shot at during some type of altercation, but not injured. Officers generated a crime report.

20-290040 (Warrant- Arrest): 3300 block of Bridgeford Dr at 0055 hours.
Officers made an enforcement stop on a vehicle. Upon further investigation a passenger was arrested for felony warrant charges.

20-290235 (Warrant): 5400 block of Baccus Wy at 0857 hours.
The SacPD SWAT team assisted an outside agency with serving a warrant. The warrant was served and the scene has been turned back over to the outside agency to conduct the rest of their investigation. Due to the outside agency’s ongoing investigation, SacPD is unable to provide the name of the agency at this time.

20-289148 (Felony Assault- Investigation): Del Paso blvd/ Northgate blvd at 0129 hours.
Officers responded to a call of a disturbance where a victim was shot by a BB gun. Upon arrival the suspects had fled the scene. The victim had minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. A crime report was generated

20-287344 (Robbery – Investigation): 2500 block of Amelia Earhart Avenue at 0407 hours.
Officers responded to a robbery. The suspect brandished a firearm and stole personal property from the victim. The victim was uninjured. Officers generated a crime report and conducted a canvass for surveillance footage.

20-285185 (Vehicle pursuit): I-5 & West El Camino Avenue at 0018 hours.
Officers engaged in a vehicle pursuit. The vehicle eventually became disabled, but the suspects not located. The investigation is ongoing.

20-285204 (Assault- investigation): 2300 block of Mossy Bank Drive at 0035 hours.
Officers responded to reports of a subject brandishing a handgun at a victim. A report was taken.

(Homicide-Investigation) : 2600 Block of Stonecreek Drat 0100 hours.
Patrol officers responded to scene regarding a shooting that had occurred and found one adult male, and one adult female, who had been shot. Officers rendered medical aid to both victims. Fire department personnel arrived and transported both victims to a local hospital. The female victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital by medical staff. The male victim reported as being in stable condition and expected to survive his injuries. Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have taken over the investigation and detectives are conducting a canvass of the area for witnesses and evidence. Police said they believe the suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival. The motive for the shooting is under investigation. Officers responded to a caller, who became uncooperative. The subject attempted to access the front of a patrol car. The subject was arrested.

Officers responded to reports of an assault where the suspect swung a hammer at the victim. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to the area regarding a POD hit of a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and the driver was taken into custody. The driver was arrested for theft charges.

Officers responded to a shooting where the victim sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and officers generated a crime report.

Officers contacted the occupants of a vehicle. Inside of the vehicle officers located narcotics and a loaded handgun. Two subjects were arrested on various narcotics and weapons related charges.

Officers conducting a follow up investigation located narcotics, cash, and illegal firearms inside a residence.

20-276312 (Firearm- arrest): 500 block of Bankside Way at 1221 hours.
Officers were conducting a follow-up investigation when they identified a wanted subject. The subject was detained and a search resulted in the recovery of two illegal firearms and a significant amount of narcotics. The subject was arrested.

20-274373 (Suspicious circumstance- arrest): 5500 block of Celebration Street at 1428 hours.
Officers were conducting follow-up to an active investigation and located a wanted subject. The subject was arrested without incident. A search of the location revealed multiple illegal firearms and substantial quantities of narcotics.

Officers conducted a traffic stop, and one of the occupants fled on foot. The subject was detained.

Officers responded to a two vehicle collision where one of the vehicles had rolled over. One driver had a complaint of pain from the incident but there were no other reported injuries. Officers generated a collision report.

Officers initiated an enforcement stop on a vehicle. During the stop officers determined the driver had an active felony warrant. Officers also located a loaded firearm in the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a subject who had shot at a window. There were no associated injuries. The suspect was detained after trying to break a police perimeter by jumping from a rooftop. Officers responded to reports of a carjacking. The suspects fled in the stolen vehicle, which was later discovered crashed into a building. The vehicle was impounded and the investigation is ongoing.

20-253820 (Assault on an Officer – Arrest): 3600 block of N Freeway Boulevard at 1841 hours.
Officers responded to a disturbance after hotel guests were refusing to leave a hotel room and refusing to pay. During the call for service the guests became combative with officers resulting in minor injuries to one officer. The suspects were arrested.

20-252776 (Foot pursuit- arrest): 600 block of Rio Tierra Avenue at 1634 hours.
Officers responded to reports of a disturbance. As officers attempted to contact and involved party, that subject fled on foot. The subject was detained and arrested.

20-251605 (Felony Assault – Investigation): San Juan Road and Binghamton Drive at 1232 hours.
Officers responded to a dispute between two subjects. During the dispute one subject threw an object at the other, while the other subject ran into the other subject with his vehicle. The victim sustained moderate, non-life-threatening, injuries from the incident. The suspect fled in the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

20-251818 (Brandishing – Arrest): 2200 block of Orchard Lane at 1631 hours.
Officers responded to a disturbance among a group of individuals. One party brandished a firearm during the disturbance. Officers detained the subject. The subject was found to be in legal possession of the firearm. The subject was cited for the brandishing.

20-251120 (Felony Assault – Arrest): 2200 block of Gateway Oaks Drive at 2119 hours.
Officers responded for a report of a stabbing. The suspect, who was known to the victim, stabbed the victim in the upper torso. The victim is expected to survive. The suspect was arrested.

20-248877 (Stolen Vehicle – Arrest): W Elkhorn Boulevard and Natomas Boulevard at 1716 hours.
Officers located a stolen vehicle in the area. When officers attempted to stop the stolen vehicle, the two occupants fled in the vehicle. A short pursuit ensued, and the vehicle became disabled in the area of Elkhorn Boulevard and 16th Street. Both subjects fled on foot but were quickly detained. Both subjects were arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a subject who appeared to be stealing items from boats. When officers attempted to contact the suspect, he attempted to hide from officers. The suspect was safely detained and arrested.

20-243814 (Assault – Investigation): 2300 block of Northgate Boulevard at 1902 hours.
Officers responded to a report of several subjects in a fight and one male was possibly armed with a firearm. Officers arrived on scene and found one victim who had sustained an injury to his lip. There were no other injuries and the suspects had fled the scene. Officers generated a crime report.

20-243847 (Robbery – Investigation): 3500 block of Northgate Boulevard at 1922 hours.
Officers responded to a reported robbery at a business. The suspect attempted to steal merchandise from the business and a struggle ensued when the employee attempted to stop the suspect. The suspect also brandished a knife and fled. Officers generated a crime report.

20-244048 (Pursuit): W El Camino Avenue and Truxel Road at 2307 hours.
Officers attempted to stop a reckless driver. The driver fled and a short vehicle pursuit ensued. Officers lost sight of the vehicle momentarily, and later found the vehicle unoccupied. The driver was not located. Officers generated a report.

Yesterday (8/13) SPD patrol officers monitored a group of approximately 100 vehicles that showed up in the 4700 block of Natomas Boulevard around 7 p.m. Officers maintained a presence while the vehicles were on scene. There was no enforcement action taken during the event.

20-242430 (Threats – Arrest): 600 block of San Juan Road at 1536 hours.
Officers responded to a subject inside of a business who was making threats. The suspect left prior to officers arrival, but officers were able to locate him in the area. The suspect was arrested for the threats.

20-241771 (Suspicious Circumstances – Investigation): Matadero Court at 2334 hours.
Officers responded to a report of an armed subject at a residence. When officers arrived on scene, they determined that the caller was not providing factual information and determined the call to be a hoax. Officers contacted the residents inside and confirmed the call to be a hoax. The investigation into the false report is ongoing.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired. Officers arrived on scene and located a residence that had sustained damage from a bullet. No occupants were injured. Officers generated a crime report.

Officers responded to the business (Subway) for reports of a ringing alarm. On scene, they discovered evidence of a burglary. The investigation is ongoing.

20-237229 (Stolen vehicle- arrest): 2300 block of Northview Drive at 1745 hours.
Officers responded to a LoJack activation for a vehicle. The officers conducted a stop, and the named suspect was arrested without incident. A search of the vehicle yielded a firearm and narcotics. The driver was arrested for the vehicle theft and possession of a firearm and narcotics.

20-237270 (Sideshow): 3500 block of North Freeway Boulevard at 1843 hours.
Officers monitored the area for reports of a sideshow. Enforcement stops were conducted, which resulted in several citations and a reckless driving impound.

Officers contacted a subject, who was determined to have outstanding felony warrants. The subject was arrested.

Officers located a stolen vehicle. The driver was arrested.

20-233265 (Shooting – Investigation): 1200 block of Rivera Drive at 1922 hours.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of Rivera Drive regarding a subject threatening suicide with a firearm. Officers located the subject, in a vehicle, in the area. The suspect fired his firearm at officers and fled the area. No officers were injured. The suspect was last seen in the area of W/B I-80 and Truxel Road. Suspect is described as a Male White or Hispanic driving a tan pickup truck. The suspect has been identified as 50 year old Albert Wheeler.

20-232389 (Vehicle collision): 400 block of West El Camino Avenue at 2309 hours.
Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision. Five people were injured, and three of those transported to local hospitals and are expected to survive.

August 2, 2020
20-230842 (Pursuit- arrest): I-5 & Pocket Road at 1235 hours.
Officers attempted a traffic stop, and the driver failed to yield. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled northbound on I5 at a high rate of speed. For the safety of the officers and public the pursuit was canceled and a police air unit located the vehicle and there was a slow speed pursuit until the termination point at Duckhorn and Arena where the driver was taken into custody. The driver was arrested on felony evading charges.

Officers responded to a business for reports of a subject brandishing a handgun. The subject had fled before officers arrived, but they were able to locate the subject in the area. The subject was arrested for brandishing and threats.

20-230055 (Burglary – Investigation): 700 block of Rio Tierra Avenue at 1636 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a burglary. The suspect(s) stole equipment from inside of the building and fled. CSI responded to process the scene for evidence.

July 31, 2020
20-228713 (Pursuit): W El Camino Avenue and Truxel Road at 1037 hours.
Officers attempted an enforcement stop on a reckless driver. The pursuit continued until officers cancelled the pursuit for safety reasons. The driver is outstanding.

20-228747 (Assault – Investigation): 2000 block of Arena Boulevard at 1105 hours.
Officers responded to a report of two subjects fighting. The witness also reported that one party was armed with a knife. When officers arrived on scene all involved subjects had fled the scene. There were no victims located.

20-229419 (Pursuit – Arrest): Truxel Road and Gateway Park Boulevard at 2305 hours.
Officers initiated an enforcement stop on a vehicle. One of the occupants fled from the vehicle on foot. The suspect was detained after a short foot pursuit. Officers recovered narcotics that the suspect had discarded. The suspect was arrested.

20-227899 (Assault- arrest): 1700 block of Creekside Oaks Drive at 1423 hours.
Officers responded to reports of an assault where the suspect struck the victim with a pipe. The suspect was located and arrested.

July 29,2020
20-227017 (Weapons Call): 4000 block of Alan Shepard Street at 1751 hours.
Officers responded to a man threatening suicide with a firearm. Officers and negotiators attempted contact with the subject and heard a gunshot while on scene. Officers entered the residence to find the man deceased. The Sacramento County Coroner responded to take over the investigation.

July 28, 2020
20-225180 (Pursuit – Arrest): American Avenue and Peralta Avenue at 0015 hours.
Officers observed a vehicle being driven recklessly and then saw the vehicle collide with a parked car. Officers initiated an enforcement stop and the driver fled in the vehicle. The driver eventually pulled over and officers located a firearm inside of the vehicle. The driver was also found to be DUI. The driver was arrested.

July 27, 2020
20-224955 (Sideshow Activity): 3600 block of N Freeway Boulevard at 1937 hours.
Officers responded to a report of approximately 150 vehicles setting up for a possible sideshow. Officers monitored the group until it dispersed. There were no observed issues.

20-225119 (Burglary – Arrest): 2500 block of Millcreek Drive at 2248 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a burglary at a business. When officers arrived on scene two suspects fled on foot, and one suspect was detained. Officers determined that a burglary had occurred, and the detained suspect was arrested. The second suspect is still outstanding.

July 26, 2020
20-223201 (Felony Assault – Investigation): 3200 block of Norstrom Way at 0109 hours.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired and a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and located two victims who had sustained stab wounds. Officers determined that during an altercation between the victims and suspects the stabbing occurred, and shots were fired. The victims were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The suspects in the incident were inside of a residence nearby and safely detained. Officers served a search warrant at a residence in relation to this incident. This incident is still under investigation.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired. There were no reported injuries and the investigation is ongoing.

20-223350 (Burglary – Arrest): 4700 block of Pell Drive at 0554 hours.
Officers responded to a ringing alarm at a business. Officers discovered that a burglary had occurred, and a vehicle had been stolen from the location. Officers conducted follow-up and located the stolen vehicle. Two suspects were detained and officers recovered more property from the business. The suspects were arrested.

20-222225 (Felony Assault – Investigation): Northgate Boulevard and Hwy 160 at 0200 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a felony assault. The suspect had minor injuries from being struck with an object. The victim was transported to a local hospital and officers generated a crime report.

20-220982 (Shooting – Investigation): 800 block of Rancho Roble Way at 0019 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting. Officers contacted a victim who sustained one gunshot wound that was found to be non-life threatening. Officers conducted a canvass of the area and generated a crime report.

20-220518 (Shots Fired – Investigation): 3100 block of Azevedo Drive at 1624 hours.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired. Officers located spent bullet casings and also saw that one bullet struck a garage door. There were no injuries. Officers conducted a neighborhood canvass and generated a crime report.

20-219554 (Garden Highway & Gateway Oaks Drive): Suspicious Circumstances at 1641 hours.
Officers responded to a report regarding suspicious circumstances. The third party reported a possible altercation between a male and female but none of the parties could be located after a thorough canvass. A report was generated.

20-219848 (Burglary- arrest): 2500 block of Millcreek Drive at 2315 hours.
Officers responded to a ringing alarm at a business. Upon arrival, they observed a subject inside the business. The subject was arrested.

July 21, 2020
20-218357 (Felony Assault – Arrest): 3600 block of Truxel Road at 1308 hours.
An officer in an unmarked police vehicle on-viewed a road rage/assault in progress at Truxel Rd/Gateway Park Blvd, with the suspects in one car assaulting the victim from the other car with a baseball bat. The suspect vehicle attempted to flee, but was quickly stopped by the officer who initiated a felony stop. Other officers responded to the scene and four (4) suspects were detained from the suspect vehicle without incident. The victim had a large laceration over his right eye w/bruising-swelling about his body, he refused medical. The passenger side mirror on the victim vehicle had also been knocked off with the bat. Numerous witnesses were contacted and interviewed at the scene. A witness positively identified two of the four subjects as the assailants with the bat. The other subjects were identified and released. The bat was recovered from the suspect vehicle. Injury/evidence photos were taken at the scene. An 18 year-old male and 15 year-old male were arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.

Officers responded to a report of a victim who had been shot with a paintball. The victim sustained minor bruising from the incident. Officers generated a crime report. Officers had two other reports of subjects shooting paint balls at buildings earlier in the afternoon. Officers generated a crime report.

Officers monitored approximately 200 vehicles in a parking lot located in the 4600 block of Natomas Boulevard. Officers observed that the crowd was mostly lawful. There was one incident where an unoccupied Sacramento Police Department patrol vehicle was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene. The patrol vehicle sustained a dent and some scratches. The vehicle, and suspect, were located approximately 30 minutes later. The driver was cited for misdemeanor hit and run.

Officers responded to reports of reckless driving, which stopped when officers arrived on scene.

20-210186 (Pursuit- arrest): Railroad Drive & Del Paso Boulevard at 1801 hours.
Officers attempted to contact a subject for a parole violation and outstanding warrant. The subject fled as officers attempted a traffic stop. After securing a perimeter and conducting a search, officers were able to locate and arrest the subject.

Officers initiated an enforcement stop on a vehicle. During the contact officers located a handgun. One subject was arrested on weapons violations.

Officers responded to a report of a sideshow forming in a parking lot. Officers observed one vehicle driving recklessly, and conducted an enforcement stop. The vehicle was towed. The sideshow was dispersed without further incident.

Officers located a suspect inside a location after responding to a report of a burglary in progress. The suspect was arrested and booked at Main Jail.

Business Burglar Caught Red-Handed
Sacramento Police received a 911 call from the business owner who interrupted a burglary in progress at Pearl Image Nails. According to police Capt. Steve Oliveira, the caller and her husband held the suspect at bay until officers arrived. The suspect reportedly forced entry through an exterior electrical room door and then cut his way through interior walls. An ATM machine inside the business had been tampered with. The suspect had a number of tools, including an angle grinder. Since most businesses in the shopping center on Natomas Crossing are closed due to the COVID-19 Public Health Order, Oliveira said the suspect didn’t expect to be interrupted. The suspected was arrested and transported to the Sacramento County Jail where he was booked on Burglary and Looting during a Declared State of Emergency charges. Neighborhood Crimes Unit detectives believe the same suspect was similar burglary earlier in the month and are following up, Oliveira said.

20-069751 (Pursuit): Del Paso Road and I-5 at 0251 hours.
Officers received a call regarding a subject who may be in mental health crisis and had left the residence in a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle, and subject, in the area of Del Paso Road and I-5. During the contact with the man, the subject fled in a vehicle leading officers on a pursuit. The pursuit terminated in the area of Marina View and Broadway where the subject exited the vehicle, armed with a firearm. Officers negotiated with the subject, and at least one gunshot was fired by the subject. Officers developed a tactical plan to approach the subject. When officers contacted the subject, he was found to have sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The subject was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The subject was later declared deceased by hospital personnel. No officers discharged their firearms, and no officers were injured during the incident.

Officers responded to a report of juveniles fighting in the parking lot. Several juveniles were detained, and all denied prosecution for what had occurred. The juveniles were released to parents or guardians.

20-046895 (Firearm – Arrest): 5000 block of Winamac Drive at 2255 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious parked vehicle. When officers contacted the occupants of the vehicle they located two firearms and evidence indicating sales of marijuana. The suspects were arrested and booked at Main Jail.

20-046172 (Shooting – Arrest): 100 block of Estes Way at 1027 hours.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Estes Way after a reported a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim in the area. The victim sustained no injury. Officers also located his vehicle that had been shot at. A suspect was detained leaving the area, and officers investigated the incident. An investigation revealed that the suspect had shot at the victim after a dispute. There were no injuries to any persons from this incident. The suspect was arrested and will be booked into Main Jail. As a precaution Glenwood Elementary was placed into lockdown, due to proximity of the shooting.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The suspect brandished a handgun and stole personal property from the victim. The victim was not injured. Officers generated a crime report.

20-038013 (Pursuit – Arrest): West El Camino and Northgate Boulevard at 0949 hours.
Officers located a wanted vehicle near the intersection of West El Camino and Northgate. The vehicle was involved in an incident that occurred in Milpitas, CA. When officers got behind the vehicle, the vehicle fled, and a pursuit was initiated. The short pursuit continued to the area of West El Camino and Azevedo Dr, where the suspect vehicle collided with an uninvolved vehicle. The driver of the uninvolved vehicle sustained minor injury. The suspect attempted to flee on foot, but was detained shortly after. The suspect was taken into custody for pursuit charges.

Officers located a stolen vehicle that was being driven in the area. The driver was detained and arrested.

Officers were conducting follow up on some car burglaries that had occurred in the area after they had identified a potential suspect. When officers attempted contact with the suspect he fled. The juvenile suspect was detained and arrested. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded to a vehicle burglary that occurred at an apartment complex. Officers arrived on scene and located two suspects. The suspects fled on foot but were quickly detained. Both suspects were found to be juveniles and were arrested for burglary.

20-029760 (Stolen Vehicle – Arrest): East Commerce and North Park at 0446 hours.
Officers located a stolen vehicle being driven in the area. Officers safely detained the driver who was arrested and booked at Main Jail.

20-030534 (Pursuit – Arrest): West El Camino Avenue and Northglen Street at 1731 hours.
Officers initiated an enforcement stop on a vehicle. The vehicle fled from officers and a short vehicle pursuit ensued. The suspect vehicle struck an uninvolved vehicle and was disabled. There was minor damage to the uninvolved vehicle, and minor injury to the occupants of the uninvolved vehicle. The occupants of the suspect vehicle immediately fled on foot. Two of the occupants were detained almost immediately. The third suspect was able to flee on foot. Officers located a loaded firearm in the vehicle. The two suspects that were detained were arrested on various pursuit and firearms charges. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded to a hit and run collision involving a power pole. The collision occurred the power pole to fall. The driver fled the scene. A hit and run collision report was generated.

20-028078 (Death Investigation): American River Bike Trail and Hwy 160 at 1502 hours.
Officers responded regarding a body that was located in the area. A death investigation was initiated and there were no signs of foul play. A preliminary investigation revealed that the body belonged to Alexander Holden who has been reported missing. The investigation was turned over to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

Officers responded to the report of a vehicle collision into a building. Upon arrival the suspect had fled the scene on foot. Nobody in the building was injured. Responding officers located a suspect matching the description in the area. The suspect was arrested for DUI charges and hit and run charges.
