Arrest Made for Fatal Stabbing in South Natomas

Sacramento police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing which occurred Wednesday morning in South Natomas.

Fabrizio Leal, 27, was booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges of homicide, according to a press release issued today by the Sacramento Police Department.

At about 8:30 a.m. on March 11 patrol officers responded to the 1900 block of San Juan Road to investigate a disturbance reported in the area.

Once on the scene, officers located an adult male was found with stab wounds and the Sacramento Fire Department was called to provide medical aid. Fire personnel declared the victim deceased on the scene.

Leal, who is believed to have known the victim, was detained on scene and taken into custody.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, but police said believe this was an isolated incident and that there are no other suspects.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
