SacFire Fights South Natomas Blaze

The Sacramento Fire Department is working to extinguish a blaze on the 2400 block of Mendel Way in south Natomas.

Three engines and two trucks responded to the home within minutes, quickly getting the fire under control, according to a battalion chief on the scene.

Witnesses on the scene said residents of the home were safely evacuated. The fire started at about 1:15 p.m.

The intersection at Mendel Way and River Run Circle is closed while firefighters work to knock down the flames.
