The Inderkum Tigers scored 34 first-half points and never looked back en route to a resounding 54-0 victory over the Woodland Wolves Friday night.

Senior quarterback C.J. Spencer passed for three touchdowns in the win, as he linked up twice with senior wide receiver Khalil Hudson and once with junior wide receiver C.J. Garmon.

There was plenty of action on the ground as well, with four different Tigers scoring rushing touchdowns. In the first half, Senior Marcus Gilbert rushed for a touchdown along with junior running back Austin Thurman. The second half saw senior running back Terrance White rush for a touchdown and sophomore Derrick Henderson rushed for two.

Defensively the Tigers were phenomenal, holding the Woodland Wolves scoreless. Senior safety Tyler Dean had two interceptions and junior linebacker Marcus Roundtree recorded two sacks.

Tigers Coach Terry Stark was asked whether the homecoming crowd helped fuel his team in the first half.

“I think so, we’ve been working so hard to play in front of big crowds for a long time and it’s finally getting there,” said Stark. “The community is finally growing and coming out and watching our games, it’s neat for the kids.”

Coach Stark pointed to the importance of the upcoming game against River Valley.

“We’re going to play up there and that could be the league championship,” said Stark. “Whoever wins is the frontrunner for the league championship, it’s a big one and they’re pretty good this year.”

The Inderkum Tigers will travel next Friday to take on Falcons of River Valley High. Game start time will be at 7 p.m.
