Natomas School District Seeks Parent Input

The Natomas Unified School District Food Service Department placed vending machines at all elementary schools in 1998.

The vending machines dispense drink products that are state approved for sale under nutritional guidelines. The products sold are water, Snapple juices, and Mott’s Apple and Veggie Blend juice products. The drinks are sold for $1 and the funds contribute to food service expenditures.

The district is conducting a brief survey of parents and students to find out community opinion regarding vending machines in elementary schools. Parents of elementary school students are encouraged to complete and submit a survey by Friday, April 24.
