THE BUZZ was saddened to learn Natomas boy Joseph Quant has died.

Earlier this year, Joseph was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the brain stem which was determined to be cancerous. The Two Rivers Elementary School student underwent aggressive radiation and chemotherapy treatment for the cancer, known as Glio Blastoma Multiforme, and passed away peacefully during the early-morning hours on Dec. 11.

Services will be held for Joseph on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m. at the Valley Hi Covenant Church, 8355 Arroyo Vista Drive, in Sacramento.

A reception will follow immediately. Joseph’s parents, Nikki and Roberto Quant, want to celebrate their son’s life. They suggest you wear any Yankee t-shirts or jerseys or any other sports attire to the service and reception; jeans and sneakers are great. If possible, please refrain from dressing in black.

Nikki and Roberto are requesting no flowers be sent. To read more about Joseph and his journey, check out his CaringBridge site.
