Promenade Turning Away A Tenant?

Home Textiles Today is reporting The Promenade landlord does not want Smart & Final to assume the Linens N Things location.

Allegedly the store would upset the tenant mix, violate lease agreements with other tenants and be disruptive to the shopping center’s business.

A hearing on the matter is set for August 14.

In other Natomas-related news, two young people were arrested after they were caught — on tape by the KCRA helicopter — vandalizing sprinkler heads in an area park.

This kid shouldn’t get “jail time.” Assuming no priors, he is a young idiot who needs 500 hours of hard labor community service to learn a lesson, a bill for his parents to pick up.

I’m hoping that the new plan for Fort Natomas will include better lighting and some cameras.

On that note, I would be interested to know what Natomans feel about greatest use of cameras in aiding policing… The intersection at Del Paso/El Centro is loaded with cameras, as is Del Paso west of El Centro by the new K. Hovnanian development. I would love to see a camera or cameras in every public park.
