On Sunday, March 2, the Natomas Community Foundation and the Natomas Historical Society are teaming together to host the 2nd Annual Natomas Founders Day 10K/5K Run and Walk.
The race will start at 9 a.m. sharp at the Natomas Promenade and will be followed by Free Kids Run for children up to the age of 10. Proceeds from this event will be used to fund scholarships for local high school seniors.

I hope the police and staff of the race will better protect runners at major intersections, last year I saw runners entering Natomas Bl and Club Center with no traffic control, I got out of my car and directed traffic for 30 min. Someone in the Sac PD dropped the ball,(other sites had no help too.), and the race director seemed completely unprepared.
