Police have issued an arrest warrant for Kevin Waterman, 21, for allegedly stealing several packages in Natomas.

The man suspected of stealing several packages from homes in Natomas has turned himself in, Sacramento Police reported Tuesday afternoon via social media.

On Monday, Dec. 9 Sacramento Police identified Kevin Waterman, 21, as the man they suspected of stealing the packages in November.

Police had asked for the community’s assistance in helping to identify Waterman who was caught on multiple private surveillance cameras stealing packages from Natomas-area porches. He was believed to be responsible for several package thefts during that week.

Investigators working the case issued a warrant for Waterman’s arrest on Monday. The suspect, they said, is known to drive a grey Ford Focus with black rims.

Sacramento Police credit the community for providing leads to investigators which ultimately led to their identifying a suspect. Community members provided an abundance of video surveillance which was crucial in helping develop leads in this case, police said.

The Sacramento Police Department encourages any witnesses with information regarding this suspect to contact the dispatch center at (916) 264-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or submit an anonymous tip using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
