Natomas Cops Log – June 1, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting May 31, 2015:

15-152835 (Robbery): 700 block of W El Camino Ave at 2201 hours.
Officers responded to the location regarding a report of robbery. The victim had been working inside of the vacant residence when an unknown woman entered, assaulted him, took his property, and fled to an awaiting vehicle. A report was generated.


15-153008 (Burglary): 100 block of Mike Gartrell Cir at 0257 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a burglary. The victim arrived home to find that the location had been burglarized with property and a vehicle taken. Follow-up was conducted and a report was generated.

Incidents are from shifts starting May 30, 2015:

15-151562 (DUI): 2000 block of Garden Hwy at 1817 hours.
Officers observed a vehicle in the area that had caused a minor collision. Upon contact with the driver, he displayed signs of intoxication and was arrested for suspicion of DUI.


15-151570 (Burglary): 5600 block of Natomas Blvd at 1826 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a burglary and determined that property had been taken. A report was generated.


15-151085 (Missing Person): 4600 block of Blackrock Dr at 0853 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a possible despondent missing person who had left the location. Officers checked the area and conducted follow-up, but have not yet located the subject. A report was generated.


15-151243 (Robbery): 1900 block of Urbana Way at 1235 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a robbery. The victim was riding in a car with a known suspect and his friend. The suspect stopped the vehicle, pointed a handgun at the victim, took her property, and fled from the area. Follow-up was conducted and a report was generated.

Incidents are from shifts starting May 29, 2015:

15-149952 (Homicide): 1700 block of Capital Park Dr at 0850 hours.
On Friday, May 29, 2015, at approximately 8:50 a.m., officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 1700 block of Capital Park Drive. Officers quickly arrived to the apartment complex and located a 37-year-old man lying in the front doorway of an apartment. The man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Sacramento Fire Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased. Homicide detectives along with Crime Scene Investigators were summoned to the scene to begin investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
A specific motive for the shooting is still not yet known and the investigation remains very active. There is no suspect information.

Incidents are from shifts starting May 28, 2015:

15-149335 (Hit & Run): Northgate Blvd / Garden Hwy at 1750 hours.
Officers responded to the report of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian. The vehicle was driving when a group of pedestrians ran across the roadway in front of oncoming traffic. The pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle, fled the area after the collision. Officers checked the area for the pedestrian, but were unable to locate him. The investigation remains active.
