Natomas Cops Log – April 22, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting April 21, 2015:

15-110468 (Vandalism): 1400 block of Pebblewood Dr at 2331 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of vandalism. The suspect vandalized another family member’s vehicle. He was arrested as a result.


15-110229 (Burglary): 300 block of Sutley Cir at 1758 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a burglary and determined that forced entry had been made to the home with property taken. Follow-up was conducted and a report was generated.


15-110251 (Stolen Vehicle): San Juan Rd / Northgate Blvd at 1826 hours.
Officers conducted a stop on a stolen vehicle in the area. The driver of the car was detained and found in possession of burglary tools and drugs. He was arrested for possession of drugs, burglary tools, and vehicle theft.

Incidents are from shifts starting April 20, 2015:

(Burglary) Greg Thatch Circle and La Venta Way – 7:20pm. An alert neighbor called 911 when a suspicious male was observed in front of a neighbor’s home, which also had a broken front window. A vehicle then arrived and the suspicious male fled the area. The alert neighbor managed to obtain a partial license plate & excellent vehicle description. Officers arrived and discovered that a burglary had occurred with a variety of items being stolen.

West Sacramento police identified a vehicle matching the witness’ description alerted to them from Sacramento Police information and attempted contact the occupants. One of the suspects fled on foot & was eventually apprehended by a police K9. Investigators are actively looking to see if this suspect and/or his associates are connected to other area crimes.

“This burglary could have likely gone unsolved if not for the observations of the alert neighbor,” said Lt. Charles Husted. “This is another excellent example of how much impact an alert & engaged neighbor can have on community safety.”

“We may never catch all of the burglars, however through efforts described above we can certainly send a message to would be criminals that North Natomas is a place to get caught if a crime is committed,” Husted continued.

15-108792 (Ringing Alarm): 300 block of Alcantar Cir at 1025 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a ringing alarm. Officers determined that forced entry had been made to the home with property taken. A report was generated.


15-108876 (Burglary): 100 block of Jorgi Ct at 1158 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a burglary. The victim arrived home and found that forced entry had been made to the location with property taken. A report was generated and follow-up is being conducted.


15-108621 (Burglary): 3500 block of Del Paso Rd at 0716 hours.

Officers responded to the above location regarding a report of a burglary and determined that forced entry had been made to the business and property possibly taken. A report was generated and follow-up is being conducted.
