Natomas Cops Log – March 25, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting March 24, 2015:

15-081697 (Traffic Stop ): American Ave / W El Camino Ave at 1805 hours.
Officers were patrolling in the area when they observed a vehicle in violation of an infraction. Officers stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver who was on probation. During a probation search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun. The driver was ultimately arrested for illegal possession of a firearm.


15-081432 (Assault): W El Camino Ave/Truxel Rd at 1353 hours.
Officers responded to the report of a male victim who was assaulted by a known suspect. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Officers were able to quickly locate the suspect who was ultimately arrested for assault.


15-081951 (Shooting): 200 block of Harding Ave at 2306 hours.
Officers responded to the report of shots fired. A male suspect was in an argument with three victims when he left the area and returned armed with a handgun. The man fired one shot towards the victims, but no injuries were reported. The suspect fled the area on his bicycle. Officers checked the area for the suspect. The investigation is still on going.

Incidents are from shifts starting March 23, 2015:

15-081002 (Burglary): 1000 block of El Camino Ave at 0219 hours.
Officers responded to the location regarding a report of an attempted burglary. Officers rushed to the area and surrounded the business. Upon arrival, officers detained one of three teenagers in front and later detained the other two suspects who were observed fleeing on foot from the area. During a search, officers found several items in their possession. All three juveniles were arrested for conspiracy and burglary.


15-080262 (Burglary): 100 block of Pinnacles Cir at 1127 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of burglary and determined that forced entry had been made to the location. CSI responded for follow-up and a report was generated.
