Police Investigate Homicide in Natomas

One man is dead as the result of a shooting Wednesday in Natomas.

At about 11:39 a.m. on April 23 Sacramento police were called to the 1300 block of Pebblewood Drive on reports of a shooting.

Officers found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot injuries upon arrival.

The Sacramento Fire Department rushed the 39-year-old victim to the hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Police said the motive for the shooting is being investigated. The suspect is believed to have fled moments after the shooting, police said.

Crime Scene Investigators were called to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Police earlier today detained a “person of interest” related to the case, according to a post on Twitter Thursday afternoon.
