A new south Asian eatery opens tomorrow in Natomas.
Shalimar Restaurant, which held a soft opening over the weekend, opens April 9 at 3654 N. Freeway Blvd., in Suite 320.
The new Indian and Pakistani eatery occupies a dining space which sat empty nearly five years after since Johnny Rockets closed in May 2008.
Shalimar is a San Francisco Bay Area-based chain with four other locations – two in San Francisco, one in Fremont and one in Dublin.
The family of restaurants prides its Tandoori dishes cooked in a traditional clay oven, curries and naan breads.
