Sacramento police are investigating the robbery of a marijuana grow house that left one man injured last night in Natomas.

Police said Sacramento Fire personnel responded to a medical-aid call on the 400 block of Potomac Avenue, east of Northgate Boulevard, at about 10:22 p.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival fire medics found an adult male in his 30s who had been physically assaulted with multiple lacerations to his head.

The medics requested police assistance and officers responded to a report of a stabbing at the residence.

When officers arrived, police said they found evidence of what appeared to be a home invasion robbery.

Police said unknown suspect(s) entered the home through a front security door, assaulted the resident and stole property from the home.

Police said they found the home’s occupant had a small marijuana grow inside the residence.

Police said the victim was transported to an area hospital with significant, yet non life-threatening injuries.

Police said officers searched the surrounding area and canvassed for witnesses.

CSI responded to collect evidence and photograph the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
