Organizers of the 4th annual Natomas May Day run have announced former San Francisco 49er defensive back Eddie L. Lewis will serve as the event’s celebrity host.

The Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center fundraiser is set for May 5 at the South Natomas Community Center. The race includes a 10k run, 5k walk/run, kid’s fun run and a post-race expo.

The Natomas May Day Run was created by community leaders in conjunction with Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center to raise the funding needed to support the individuals and famstanfordsettlementilies served by the agency. This year’s race will see the launch of a new “team challenge” with the winner – the team with the most participants – receiving a trophy, a team picture with Lewis and feature in N Magazine.

A team challenge kick-off meeting is scheduled for March 5 at Restaurant 524. Space is limited and reservations are required. For meeting time, or to register for the meeting, call Sister Jeanne Felion at (916) 927.1303 or email her at [email protected].

Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center, established in 1936, is a not-for-profit social service organization serving the Gardenland/Northgate, North Sacramento, and Natomas communities. Its mission is to help build healthy communities through individual, family, and neighborhood services.
