A dance to benefit the Natomas Rose Garden will be held 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday at the American Legion Post.

Located adjacent to the South Natomas Library, the all-volunteer rose garden was opened for public use on May 28, 2008 and is available for weddings and outdoor events. The garden features 450 rose bushes.

The Feb. 9 dance is being hosted by the garden’s caretakers and is a chance to support the local, non-profit public space. All proceeds from the event will help fund a fountain scheduled to be installed in the spring.

The Natomas Rose Garden benefit dance will feature music, dance performances and raffle prizes. Appetizers will be served.

Tickets cost $15 at the door, $5 for children under 12. The American Legion Post 477 is located at 720 Santiago Avenue, one block north of El Camino and Rio Linda Boulevard. Private parking is available behind the building.
