Police Investigate Natomas Shooting Death

Sacramento police are investigating a late-night shooting which resulted in the death of one man.

At about 11 p.m. last night, Sept. 14, police were called to the 3500 block of Summer Park Drive regarding a shooting.

When officers arrived to the scene they found a 22-year-old male that had been shot. Officers immediately rendered emergency medical aid.

Despite the efforts of responding officers the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Homicide detectives, along with Crime Scene Investigators, were called out to the scene. Based on the preliminary investigation it appears the victim was shot inside his apartment during the course of a home-invasion robbery.

Additional details are not available at this time as the investigation is still ongoing.
