Do you want to be “Average” or “Awesome?”

That was the question posed to Natomas High School students during a surprise 3D school assembly held Monday morning.

The interactive DayOne3D assembly was presented on Sept. 10 by StudentReach International. The group uses stories, crowd interaction, a 42-foot, 3D video wall and follow up resources meant to inspire students to “Be the change they want to see.”

“The assembly was very emotional and I felt like I could relate to the speakers,” one student said. “They motivated me to start a change, even if it’s only within myself.”

DayOne3D is a high impact, fast-paced program that grabs students’ attention and confronts them with the importance of the choices they make everyday, according to information on Facebook. DayOne3D travels to high schools to promote growth, well-being, and community success.

Last spring, the group traveled with students from Grant High School to build a small home in Baja California in keeping with their motto, “Change the world; start small.” The group hopes to do the same in spring 2013.

Student Reach International provides scholarships for most students who want to help with their community-based projects. For more information, visit www.StudentReachInternational.org or studentreach.org/changeapp/.
