Arrest Made In Natomas Man’s Murder

The Sacramento Police Department has arrested Jazz Curry, 20, for the murder of Tralane Thomas.

On Monday, January 30, 2012, at 7:08 p.m., officers responded to a call of a man who had been shot in the 100 block of Bicentennial Circle. Upon arrival, officers discovered the 19-year-old victim with gunshot wounds to his upper body. Medical personnel declared him deceased at the scene.

The Sacramento Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to investigate. During the course of the investigation, several subjects were contacted and detained, one of which was Jazz Curry.

Detectives believe that Thomas and Curry were meeting to conduct a narcotic transaction. At some point during the meeting, Curry shot and killed Thomas. The investigation is ongoing and as such, Curry’s booking mug shot is unavailable.
