Regency Park Students Link Up To Music

THE NATOMAS BUZZ | @natomasbuzz
The Twin Rivers Unified School District has partnered with Carnegie Hall and the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra to bring music to Regency Park Elementary School in Natomas.
Link Up, a program of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute, pairs orchestras across the country with student in grades 3-5 at schools in their local communities to explore orchestral repertoire through a hands-on music curriculum.
The program includes a weekly lesson in music, a recorder for each 4th and 5th grade student supplied by the Friends of the Sacramento Philharmonic.
Students participating in Link Up will attend an interactive concert and field trip on May 17 where they will sing and play recorder or violin with the orchestra from their seats.
Regular music instruction started this month.
