Forty-two families in the Natomas community received all the items needed for a full Thanksgiving meal when they shopped at The GreenHouse’s “Thankful Hearts Food Store” on Nov. 19.
Each family made a $5 donation and left with about $50-worth of groceries including turkeys, pies, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, and drinks.
The Greenhouse received food and cash donations for the store from area businesses, churches and individuals.
Special thanks went out to: the Sacramento Mutual Housing Association, Tendercare Preschool, Creative Kids Preschool, Comstock Mortgage, StudentsFirst, Bridge of Life Church, Sanctuary Church, Fog Willow Farms, FoodsCo and Walmart.
