Seen In Natomas: Abandoned Animals At The Regional Park?

“I thought I had found a chupacabra!” writes a NATOMAS BUZZ reader who recently took these photographs.
This animal has been spotted more than once in the North Natomas Regional Park, near North Park Drive and Brookmere Way. It’s also been seen walking along the drainage canal behind Redbud Park.
It looks like a dog, but up close our reader reports the animal’s appearance is “odd.” Its face and head are very cone-shaped, but short, and its ears look and move like a deer. One reader said she it’s a coyote in poor condition.
This is the second time in less than two weeks THE NATOMAS BUZZ received photos of a canine in the regional park. Are these wild or abandoned animals left behind or simply lost pets?

ACCORDING TO A NATOMAS BUZZ READER, THIS POOCH WAS LEFT IN THE DOG PARK LAST WEEK WITH SOME FOOD IN A PLASTIC BAG. ANOTHER READER IS FOSTERING THE ANIMAL IN HOPES OF FINDING IT A FOREVER HOME.
