Sacramento police have arrested three burglary suspects in response to a tip from a reader of THE NATOMAS BUZZ.

At about 9:24 a.m. Wednesday, suspects repeatedly rang the doorbell at a single-family home on Klondike Court for several minutes. When the resident did not answer, she witnessed two men wearing green gloves jump her fence and attempt to open her sliding glass door. The resident went to check the door and scared the suspects away, a neighbor told THE NATOMAS BUZZ shortly after the incident.
“Capt.Maccoun and I would like to thank you for your great community effort. It is nice to serve such an engaged and enthusiastic community.” -Lt. David Risley
THE NATOMAS BUZZ posted an alert about the incident on Facebook and Twitter with information on the getaway vehicle described as a sporty silver car, no license plates, and occupied by three men.
Sacramento police received a call at 6:28 p.m. Wednesday of a suspicious vehicle matching the vehicle’s description near Greg Thatch Circle and Tres Piezas Way in Natomas. The caller told police they saw the description posted by THE NATOMAS BUZZ, Sacramento police spokesman Sgt. Norm Leong said.

Police responded and located the vehicle – which was stolen – along with stolen property including ID cards and arrested three men. Leong said police are still investigating whether those arrested today are linked to the incident on Klondike Court.

Clearly, they were up to no good,” Leong said. “If you feel something is suspicious in nature, give us a call.”
