Farmers’ Market Returns To Natomas

The Certified Farmers’ Market is scheduled to return to Natomas next weekend.

The popular market will resume 9 a.m. starting Saturday, May 7 and continuing through October in the Inderkum High School parking lot.

“Some crops, and the farmers who grow them, will be a little late this year, but all in all we are hoping for a good year,” said Dan Best, market manager. “A good community showing of support will attract more.”

I would love to see our market find a permenant spot in the regional park with an awning like that in Davis.

  5. I am *so* excited about the market returning! I agree with the third commenter that it would be made all the better (and attractive to vendors!) if we were able to get a permanent spot for the market, but at the same time I enjoy my weekly trips over to Inderkum. :)

  6. Here’s a question: is this market open as a venue to local artisans and crafters? I’m just starting to sell my crocheted bags, and if I’m allowed, I would love to participate in this market! (it’s the highlight of my summer Saturdays!) Buzz, do you know the cotact info for the people in charge of the farmers’ market? :)

  9. Hi, I would also like to know the answer to Dana’s question regarding being a vendor. I make crafts as well, bows, tutus, etc and would love to be able to be a vendor at the event if allowed as well. Thanks Laura

  10. The market at Inderkum is a farmers’ market. The only exceptions to date being the Inderkum PTSA and Friends of the Library booths which are non-profits.
