Two Alarm Grass Fire In North Natomas Today

The Sacramento Fire Department reports a stubborn grass fire broke out east of the Sacramento International Airport shortly before 3 p.m. today.
Firefighters arrived in about 9 ½ minutes and quickly requested additional resources due to the high winds and dry grass. It took about one hour to contain the fire.

Fortunately there were no reported injuries and no structures threatened. The fire burned about 200 acres and Sacramento firefighters were assisted by firefighters from Sacramento Metro and West Sacramento Fire Departments. 
The cause of this fire is not known at this time.
