RANDOM BEAK: Orphan Breakfast House

The Random Beak reports randomly regarding uncommon eats, ranging from bargain citrus in Newcastle to a Panderia in Rio Linda.

RANDOM BEAK’s latest adventure was a breakfast house near McKinley Park – Orphan, 3440 C Street. Unique name, unique menu.
Fresh coffee ground and brewed by the mug ($2.30), creative vegetarian and otherwise healthy breakfast choices in addition to bacon and eggs.
RB enjoyed one of the daily specials – Raspberry/poppy seed pancakes with Myer Lemon curd ($9.75). Looking forward to trying Breakfast Tamales ($8.50)and Roast Beef Hash ($11.95).

Sunday Breakfast – amazing place to enjoy a great meal and comfortable setting. Staff was really nice. Make sure to bring your check books or cash as they do not accept cards.
