Natomas Police & Community Resource Center volunteers recently held an appreciation BBQ for North Area police officers. Since the center opened to the public last month:
- Seventeen new volunteers have been trained and 25 volunteers have attended specialized Monday-night training sessions.
- More than 250 visitors have signed the center’s log.
- Center visits included inquiries about available services such as code enforcement questions, how to file an online police report for identity theft, where to go for a “fix it” ticket, community-based meetings, and Community Service Officer Kurt McCray’s weekly office hours (every Monday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
