Seen In The Neighborhood

Monday around 5 p.m. on Kokomo, near the corner of Broadwater.
Someone drove by, dumped out a pile of clothes and shoes, lit them on fire and left.

since we know it was around 5pm, did anyone witness this? Car make, model? Suspects?

    WTF?!?!

Lovely…Did someone actually see who did this? How can people have so little pride in their community? I just don’t get it…

Anyone with any common sense would figure out it has to do with drugs…in some fashion. I would not go near it. Call the police.

  5. One possibility: It could be a stolen duffle bag and the thief set fire to it to cover his tracks.

My friend lives very close to natomas — off Norwood and Main avenues. A week or so ago, a stolen car was dumped in the middle of his street and set on fire. It was a pretty intense inferno happening right in front of his house and it nearly damaged/destroyed his own vehicle parked outside.

I would guess the clothes had blood or drug residue on them or the clothes were worn in the commission of a crime where there were witnesses, thus the clothes were identifiable; in either case the person was destroying evidence. Although if I were destroying evidence, I wouldn’t do it on a street corner, which leads me to think 2) the burning is a gang message (note the red shoe — red is associated with Nortenos and Bloods). Who lives on that corner?

  7. Also, the shirt appears to have an eagle/huelga bird, which is associated with norteno/nuestra familia gang culture (to the chagrin of the UFW).
