Free Classes Offered At Borders Store

This month the Borders store in Natomas kicks off a series of free classes for the community.

On Saturday, Feb. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Stefanie Cruz will present “Turning a Whale’s Tail into a Children’s Tale.” When Cruz, news anchor for Good Day Sacramento, covered the story of the wayward whales caught in the Delta last year, she turned it into a children’s book. She will share her experience of covering the news story and becoming a first time author, as well as offer tips on how to get published.

Later in the day, from 7 to 8 p.m. there will be a fashion show and interactive workshop with Felicia Strati. Using models of different shapes and sizes, Strati will teach you how to dress for your shape and form. She’ll be joined by a local hairstylist who will discuss hairstyles that best flatter your face and features. Bring your fashion questions and a sense of fun.
