Tentative dates for a 21-day closure of the Truxel Road eastbound Interstate 80 off-ramp in Natomas have been released by Caltrans.
The closure is scheduled to go into effect on Friday, Oct. 30, according to the 80 Across the Top website.
Motorists planning to exit I-80 at Truxel during the three-week closure are advised to plan ahead for the detour or alternate routes and allow extra time.
Detour for eastbound I-80: Exit at Northgate Boulevard, take westbound I-80 to the Truxel exit.
Alternate routes from I-5:
- Northbound I-5: Take W. El Camino Avenue exit.
- Southbound I-5: Take Arena Boulevard exit.
The closure is part of a $133.3 million, multi-phase project will scheduled for completion by late summer 2016.
