Did You Know?

As of Dec. 1, 2007 the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District has restricted use of wood burning stoves and fireplaces.

It is now illegal to burn wood in indoor or outdoor fireplaces or wood stoves on days when air pollution is “moderately to dangerously high.” This rule will be in affect November through February every year in Sacramento County.

It’s easy to check burn status on the Spare the Air website.
