The Rotary Club of Natomas will host a breakfast fundraiser this Saturday, Feb. 15 to benefit a paint project at the Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center.

The hot pancake breakfast will be served with all the fixings. It will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Stanford Settlement Senior Center.

Rotary Club of Natomas members identified the need to paint several buildings at Stanford Settlement which was built in 1939 as the then-Gardenland Elementary School.

The buildings are now used for the non-profit’s children’s services program and the administration offices. Re-painting the buildings also requires costly, professional lead paint removal.

Rotary Club of Natomas has received a $3,500 grant it needs to match for the paint project. According to Stanford Settlement executive director Julie Rhoten, $7,000 would be enough to complete work on one of the buildings.

Lead abatement and painting Stanford Settlement’s main office, bathrooms, old teen center, and community room will cost an estimated $28,000 in all.

Tickets for the breakfast cost $10 per person and can be purchased online or at the door the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased at https://bit.ly/pancakesforpainting
