Natomas Cops Log – Aug. 6, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting Aug. 5, 2015:

15-224112 (Foot Pursuit): Northglen St / W El Camino Ave at 2234 hours.

Officers were patrolling in the above area when they stopped a vehicle for an infraction violation. As the car slowly stopped, the driver fled on foot. Officers detained the passengers in the vehicle. One of the subjects was found to have an outstanding warrant and was booked into the Sacramento County main jail. The investigation remains active.

Incidents are from shifts starting Aug. 4, 2015:

15-222054 (Burglary): 3800 block of Truxel Rd at 0350 hours.

Officers responded to the call of a ringing alarm. When officers arrived on scene, it was determined unknown suspect(s) forced entry through a door. Miscellaneous merchandise items were stolen from the business. The investigation is ongoing.


15-222118 (Burglary): 4600 block of Natomas Blvd at 0711 hours.

Officers responded to the report of a burglary. When officers arrived on scene, it was determined unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the business by breaking a glass door. Miscellaneous items were stolen. A report was generated.


15-222326 (Stolen Vehicle): 4000 block of Clarewood Way at 1123 hours.

Officers responded to the call of a suspicious subject driving in the above area. When officers contacted the man, he had parked the vehicle and was walking away. Officers detained the man and after further investigation, it was determined the vehicle was stolen. The suspect was booked into the Sacramento County main jail for possession of a stolen vehicle.


15-223023 (Robbery): 100 block of Luna Grande at 2227 hours.

Officers responded to the call of a robbery. The victim was in the above area when he was approached by two suspects armed with a firearm. The suspects stole miscellaneous property and fled. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Incidents are from shifts starting Aug. 3, 2015:

15-221736 (Assault): 3300 block of Arena Blvd at 1905 hours.
Officers responded to the location regarding a report of an assault. The victim was walking in the area when she was confronted by two unknown subjects who displayed a handgun, took her property, and then fled in a vehicle. Follow-up was conducted and a report was generated.


15-221944 (Home Invasion): 300 block of Harding Ave at 2348 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a home invasion. Two unknown suspects entered the victim’s apartment, assaulted him, and took property, and then fled from the area on foot. A report was generated.

    Ongoing investigations continue for many of these area crimes. Are they ever resolved? How would we know the results whether they were arrested, prosecuted, and sentenced? Is there enough police manpower to follow-up on all of these daily crime occurrences?
