The Sacramento Police Department arrested 41-year-old Scott Boyer in connection with the murder of a woman found dead in Natomas.

On Thursday, August 13, at about 7:45 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Trail End Way on a report of a physical altercation.

When officers arrived to the scene, it was determined two family members had been in a fight. Officers separated two men, one being Boyer, later discovering a deceased female body, concealed under dirt and debris, in the backyard.

An investigation led by the Sacramento Police Homicide Unit and in conjunction with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, and the Sacramento County Crime Lab, led to the arrest of Boyer for the death of the unidentified woman.

On Friday, August 14, Boyer was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on murder charges.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been determined and is pending the completion of the coroner’s investigation.
