Natomas Cops Log – July 18, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting July 17, 2015:

15-203137 (Family Disturbance ): 2600 block of River Plaza Dr at 0731 hours.
Officers responded to assist an outside agency with a juvenile probationer who assaulted his mother and fled. Officers searched the area for the juvenile who was ultimately located and arrested for assault and a probation violation.


15-203554 (Traffic Stop): Truxel Rd / W El Camino Ave at 1608 hours.
Officers stopped a vehicle for an infraction violation. Officers contacted the driver who was in possession of a loaded firearm. The driver was ultimately arrested for the firearm violation.


15-203936 (Shooting): 1400 block of Brewerton Dr at 2222 hours.
Officers were patrolling in the area when they heard gunshots being fired. They quickly located the male victim who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The man was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Unknown suspect(s) fled the area prior to officers arriving. The investigation remains active.

(Vehicle Accident): West El Camino at Orchard Lane 1:20 p.m. A white 2013 Volkswagon Passat rolled over in a two-car accident. Nobody was transported to the hospital. The other car involved was a silver, four-door 1993 Audi. Traci Trapani, Sacramento Police spokesperson, said the cause of the collision is not yet known.


(Suspected Burglary/Air1): 5800 block of DaVinci Way at about 8:30 p.m. Suspicious subject was seen in the area looking into the window of homes in the area. Officers, including helicopter patrol, checked the area, but were unable to locate anyone, according to Trapani.


15-201810 (DUI): 2100 block of Sherington Way at 0045 hours.
Officers conducted a vehicle stop for an infraction violation. Officers contacted the driver who was ultimately arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.


15-201834 (Hit and Run): 2700 block of Stonecreek Dr at 0135 hours.
Officers responded to the call of a vehicle that struck a fire hydrant and fled. No injuries were reported. Officers located the described vehicle and contacted the driver who was issued a citation for hit and run. No DUI appeared to be a factor.
