Natomas Cops Log – June 8, 2015

Incidents are from shifts starting June 7, 2015:

15-160410 (Subject Stop): Del Paso Rd / Park Place South Dr at 0234 hours.
An officer conducted a stop on four suspicious juvenile subjects who attempted to provide the officer with false names and were found in possession of stolen property and burglary tools. All four subjects were given citations for obstruction. One subject was cited for possession of stolen property and burglary tools. All of them were released to a guardians and a report was generated.


15-159826 (Hit and Run): San Juan Rd / Bridgeford Dr at 1423 hours.
Officers responded to the above location regarding the driver of a vehicle that had been involved in a collision and fled, causing minor injuries to the other involved parties. The suspect was later found by officers in another area and arrested for hit and run.

Incidents are from shifts starting June 6, 2015:

15-159242 (Assault): 600 block of Rio Tierra Ave at 2219 hours.
Officers responded to the location regarding a report of an assault. The suspect entered the business, became upset after not being satisfied with service, and attempted to stab an employee with a knife. He then fled on foot prior to police arrival following the assault. Officers quickly spotted the suspect in the area, identified him, and he was arrested for assault. The victim sustained a very minor injury.


15-159195 (Ringing Alarm): 2800 block of Ingleton Ln at 2147 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a ringing alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined that the home had been burglarized. A report was generated.


15-159086 (Vehicle Accident): I 80 Wb / Truxel Rd at 2007 hours.
Officers responded to the location regarding a report of a vehicle accident with non-life threatening injuries. Two cars had collided at the intersection resulting in multiple subjects being and transported to area hospitals. A report was generated.


15-159110 (Burglary ): 2200 block of Gateway Oaks Dr at 2034 hours.
Officers responded to the residence regarding a report of a burglary in progress. An unknown suspect forcibly entered the victim’s apartment and remained inside until police arrived. After initially refusing to come out, he was safely detained and arrested for burglary.


15-159114 (Vehicle Accident): 1000 block of Garden Hwy at 2037 hours.
Officers responded to the location regarding a report of a single vehicle accident with injuries. Officers determined that a vehicle had possibly struck a fixed object. One occupant sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. He is expected to survive. A report was generated.

Incidents are from shifts starting June 5, 2015:

15-158019 (Theft): 4700 block of Natomas Blvd at 2053 hours.
Officers were on scene when loss prevention staff were attempting to detain a theft suspect. The man fled from loss prevention and a short foot pursuit ensued. Officers safely detained the suspect who was ultimately arrested for theft.
