The community healthy-living campaign “Live Well Natomas” kicks off a new seven-week fitness challenge this Saturday.

Beginning Feb. 21, area residents, businesses, churches, schools and civic leaders will join forces to get moving, make healthier choices and motivate others to “live well.”

Live Well Natomas was started in 2012 by 10 faith-based groups in Natomas. This year’s seven-week program being led by Encounter Church.

The campaign is designed to help the neighborhood get moving by bike or foot. The public is invited to meet 8 a.m. every Saturday morning behind Inderkum High School on New Market Drive to loop the North Natomas Regional Park lake.

Participants may register themselves (and their dogs) to receive e-mail updates and entries for weekly raffle drawings. Registration is free.
