Heard in Natomas: Why We Vote

THE NATOMAS BUZZ visited polling places throughout Natomas area and asked voters why they voted in today’s election. Here’s what they told us:

Tracy and Miguel Spencer.  Her quote was: "It is my duty as a citizen to vote. I am voting to elect more Democrats in all offices".

“I voted today as it gives me the right to complain. I liked Proposition 47 but did not feel it was written well and rejected it,” said Kim Comeau.

“Measure L brought me out to vote. We are a bigger city and better management is needed and measure L will help,” said Roy Bishop.

“Every vote makes a difference. I am voting today because it is a privilege,” said Tammy Pappas.

“I voted today because the government is for the people. We also need to vote to keep corporations from taking over. And we need to prevent voter suppression,” said Rebecca Stewart.
