Two Found Dead in South Natomas Apartment

sacpd_shieldTwo men were found shot to death in today in Natomas apartment.

At about 2 p.m. Sacramento Police officers were called to an apartment complex in the 2000 block of West El Camino Avenue on a report the sounds of shots fired. Police were also told an unresponsive subject could be seen inside an apartment.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found two male adult victims inside an apartment with gunshot injuries; one of which appeared to be self-inflicted. The Sacramento Fire paramedics also responded and declared both men dead at the scene.

Police said they believe this incident is isolated to the two apparent acquaintances who were inside the apartment at the time of the shooting. Investigators are looking into the possibility that narcotics use was a factor in the shooting.

Release of the victims’ identities are pending notification of next-of-kin and the completion of the coroner’s investigation. Police said incident does not appear to be gang related.
