The Natomas United Futbol Club U12 girls’ team Kick Kats is wearing pink for all October games to show support for breast cancer awareness.
“The coaches and the girls are excited to do this, especially with several survivors among their families,” coach Scott Filiau said.
When players learned a 7-year breast cancer survivor was sitting on the sideline at the Oct. 12 game, the team dedicated that day’s game to her.
The family of player Isabella (No. 16) is also donating $10 for every goal she scores during the month of October.
