Seen In Natomas: May Is Bike Month

The May is Bike Month campaign to promote and reward cyclists throughout the Sacramento region is under way in Natomas.

The North Natomas Transportation Management Association is leading the way with several events including a 20-mile morning bike ride set for Saturday, May 11 to Sterling Caviar and Feeding Crane Farms. The ride starts 8:30 a.m. at the North Natomas TMA offices, 1960 Del Paso Road.

Here’s a look at more North Natomas TMA events planned for May is Bike Month:

  • May 11 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Bike Doc will get your bike ride-ready at The Club at Natomas Park, 2101 Club Center Drive.
  • May 16 6 to 9 a.m. – Fuel up at a bicycle breakfast stop to celebrate Bike to Work Day at the East Entrance of Sleep Train Arena and Truxel Road.
  • May 16 5 to 7 p.m. – Bike Doc will get your bike ride-ready at Westlake Villas, 4800 Westlake Parkway.
  • May 21 6 to 7:30 p.m. – Bike clinic to brush up on cycling skills, choosing the right gear, rules of the road and safety strategies at North Natomas Library, 4660 Via Ingoglia.
  • May 23 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. —Bike Doc will get your bike ride-ready at North Natomas Library, 4660 Via Ingoglia.

Those who work and live in Natomas are encouraged to register online at www.mayisbikemonth. com and track their bicycle miles throughout the month of May.
