A Natomas resident’s SUV was stolen from his driveway early this morning while he went indoors to fetch a jacket.

At about 5:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 a man started his gold 2000 Chevy Tahoe (License 6JEF274), which was parked in a driveway on the 2200 block of Able Court in Natomas Park. He left his car briefly to go inside.

About a minute later, the man came back outside to see a suspect pulling the Chevy Tahoe out of the driveway and drive it across the lawn, nearly hitting him.

Prior to the theft, the owner noticed what he describes as possibly being a white Chevy Malibu parked nearby and a man on foot wearing a leather coat and jeans. The two men, believed to be accomplices in the theft, are described as Hispanic or Indian in their early- to mid-20s with short hair.

Witnesses are encouraged to call the Sacramento Police Dept. non-emergency line at (916) 264-5471.
