Highlights from the first week of fall sports for both Inderkum and Natomas high school’s this week.

Natomas

Girl’s Volleyball: Team starts 2012 season Thursday, August 30 at home against Mira Loma at 7:30 p.m. Hopes are for a vast improvement over the 1-17 season in 2011

Football: Nighthawks and new head coach Jeff Remington open the season Friday at Lincoln High School.

Boy’s Soccer: Nighthhawks dropped season opener on August 24 against Jesuit 6-0 at home. Home opener Thursday, August 30 against Roseville.

Inderkum

Girl’s Volleyball: Tigers dropped first two matches earlier this week. Host Kennedy Thursday, August 30 night before taking a week off after playing three times in a four day span.

Football: Bye week for the Tigers after demolishing Clovis East last Friday. Led by running back Eric Walters (four touchdowns) and defensive lineman Dedric Allen (14 tackles, three sacks).

Boy’s Soccer: Tigers dropped season opener to Will C. Wood High School 5-1 on August 24. Will see action again on September 4 against Lindhurst on the road.
