Natomas Unified Honors Retiring Employees

The Natomas Unified school board tonight, June 13 recognized 16 retiring employees representing 278 years of service.
“A lot of lives a lot of children have been touched by the dedication of these employees over the years,” said Sally Clark, human resources director. 

Bells were presented to retiring teacher Ann Bruce (26 years), Natomas High registrar Deborah Diggs (26 years), Director of Special Education Susie Johnstone (11 years), teacher Jeanette Pieruccini (13 years), Discovery High School principal Tim Shironaka (12 year), and teacher Bonnie Wengler (30 years).

“Thank you for time dedication to this district,” said Lisa Kaplan, school board president. “I know our kids are better for your service.”
Also retiring, but not present at the June 13 meeting, retiring Director of Transportation Wade Derr (26 years), teacher Shirley Finster (10 years), teacher Karen Mosher (23 years), Special Day Class teacher Nancy Schoellkopf (8 years), personnel coordinator Diane Borrecco (25 years), teacher Maren Call (9 years), instructional assistant Cindi Patterson (21 years), custodian Rita Sapigao (13 years), teacher Diane Tharp (30 years), and teacher Linda Wells (14 years).
