Sacramento Police Officers oversee traffic at the intersection of Northgate Boulevard and New Market Drive in Natomas Tuesday, May 1 where traffic lights continued to flash after an early-morning power outage.
At about 3:40 a.m., a big rig reportedly hit a power pole near the intersection causing a power outage affecting some 9,000 Natomas-area residents.
Sacramento Municipal Utility District workers responded to the scene, restoring power by 7 a.m.
