More than 300 youngsters and their families were on hand today, Jan. 7 to celebrate the North Natomas library branch’s second birthday.
Friends of the Library members and youth volunteers manned the carnival-themed event which included games, face painting, balloon creations, birthday cake and popcorn courtesy the Regal Natomas movie theater (after the library’s machine broke down). Natomas School of Music teachers and students performed during the event.
Each child who attended was also eligible to receive a free book.
